Hi There,
I have a rather unique situation and not sure how to go about it, hoping someone would kindly help me. My wife and I are interested in immigrating to the USA primarily to take care of my wifes aging older 2nd cousin. My wife has no parents and no contact with her two sibling, her cousin is also alone, no parents, sbilings or children. She has asked us to come live with her and should would sponsor our immigration. However, from all of the research I have done, this seems next to impossible. I do work for a large corporation, who although is willing to transfer me to a US office, will not partake in my immigration at all (they have a policy against it) and will only accept a transfer request once I can legall work in the USA and can prove it to them. I called our local embassy, and they told me that although it would not be impossible , it is rather difficult. Anyone ever hear of any sort of special accomodations in a situation like this? They person on the phone directed us to the USCIS info line, however, this line is not accessable through Canada.
Thanks in Advance!
