i think these cases are for 245(i) cases
not IT related cases, that's why you can see many cases are moving everyday

i think so nivasch, becoz for IT related cases they have to check wages, market and everything but not for cooks, cheffs or any store managers for non IT related cases

I doubt these are 245(i) cases, These were prior/up to to April 2001 cases.

Remember these numbers also include cases from NJ SWA.

There are about 2,000 cases/ month from NY. Not sure how many from NJ, let's say half - 1,000 cases/month. This would be 3,000 cases/month or 150 cases per business day. Since there are days that few to no cases are transferred, these numbers don't seem strange to me.

justwatching,
so how about those 245(i) cases? becoz some cases who filed after april 2001 went to regional from NY state they are processing now in Regional
i think before april 2001 cases are already over in regional also.

am i right?
but i dont know it may stuck in regional also once again,
now regional taking 3 months to process before that current.
any thoughts?

April 2001 cases (and before) were sent to Regional in Feb/Mar 2004, two months to clear May/June so I would say most have cleared Regional.

Also, the number of cases moving from State to Regional per month does not increase as result of 245(i), it just takes more months. So throughput to Regional has been consistent.

Wasn't the deadline for 245(i) cases was extended till september 2001 ? Some how i have that impression.

The September 2001 deadline relates to conversion of Regular to RIR cases. Some additional volume due to that

gc99...

Since what date do you have been tracking cases?

I was going to suggest the following - I will volunteer to track if you want me to, here is the idea

A spreadsheet with the following columns

- Date
- Case Start no.
- Case End no.
- No. of cases transferred
- Sample approval No.

The sample approval no. would be done something like this, for the cases on that day we could check every tenth case to get some idea of what days they are processing.

We would need some volunteers to check status on certain days.

This way we would get a good sense of what date cases are being worked on.

All -

So are people interested? Please post if you would like to volunteer with checking status.

Again in sep 2001

Folks,

It is quite frustrating to see the Labor processing is again stuck in Sept 2001. I dont know exact reason but here is the speculations.

But the same thing happend in New Jersey also. Big wait on Apr 2001 as usual with other states and 4 more months delay in Sept 2001 cases.
