Case Filed NY STATE (SESA) : 27 Sep 2001
Case Approved NY STATE : 28th April 2001
Case Approved NY DOL : 23rd Sep. 2004

It took almost 3 years to approved.

Tracking NY DOL

Hi all,

I want to propose some structure to tracking NY DOL. I know we are tracking this info in the NY and NJ SWA forums I encourage everyone to continue to do that.


I have attached an empty tracker with the following tabs.

"Our Tracker"

This tab has the following columns:

Case # - Enter your case no. except for the last two digits. e.g. 025102XX
State - NJ or NY
ID - Your screen name
Received at NY DOL - Date received at NY DOL (as stated by AVM)
DOT Code - Your DOT Code
NOF Date - if any
Certified Date - date you get certified.

"Detailed Tracker"

Case # - These are all the case no.s
Received Date - Date Received at NY DOL
Status - Received, NOF or Certified
Status Updated By - User who updated the status (i'll explain below)
Status Last Updated - Last date status was updated on.

So here is how I propose this sheet works. I have highlighted every 5th record. So we need people to volunteer and "sign-up" to check the status for that record. You will enter the status, your id and the last date you updated the record.

I would recommend you download the sheet, enter your id for the records you are signing up for, upload it, and then check for the status. This should help avoid duplication.

We also need volunteers to update new records. As of now the tracker has cases received through August 25,04. We need to add cases from that date to present.

Next Steps

0) Agree that we want to do this

1) Add your record to "Our Tracker" if you have been transferred to Regional

2) Sign-up for status of "Detailed Tracker", Get Status for cases received in May and June 2004.

3) Volunteer to find received dates for cases received from August 26 to present.

IF YOU POST THE TRACKER BACK MAKE SURE YOU NAME IT WITH THE RIGHT VERSION

Hi

I just spoke to a represntative at NY DOL . He said they have not completed entering the June cases in the system yet . Mine was sent to NY DOL in August so the case number was not assigned

Application date to NJ SESA - 1 April 2002
Cleared NJ state - 8 Aug 2004 ..

may not be correct i think there are some of NJ cases cleared in JULY entered to
NY DOL.. !! we need to Check NJ SESA Forum
 
NJ state date : 8 Mar
Moved to NY DOL : June 17
Received at NY DOL: July 15

So there was almost a month's delay before the received date at NY DOL.

Yes this is what happened with me .. My Attorney told me it was moved to NYDOL on May20th But then when I called DOL the date entered was Jun 17th.

What can we do!! Man What can we do!!!

Is any one able to check individual case status with NY DOL today???
While i am accessing the AVM it is giving me msg as that Case number NOT found and i use my Employer Tele number also, it is giving msg as No Tele found.
I was checking my case with NY DOL AVM from April04.

I have also been trying to access my information.

But it just says that my employer # is wrong or not a valid case #.

May be some glitch in the system.

Shall wait for a while and try again.

I think there system is DOWN.

I tried with my Case No (which was approved last week). I got message "that case number does exists."

NOF Received

Hi guys,

Wanted to share my info with you guys...
Case# 02507339 - received on NY DOL May13th, got NOF on September 28th - have not seen the NOF yet - but HR says that they want more on the salary and something about a FIN...hopefully my attorney will send the reply quick...any one knows how long it takes for a NOF to be worked upon - or am I behind a line again?

AVM is down for a while - I talked to an analyst at 212-337-2184 - he said they are having problems with the AVM and are in the process of updating/fixing it.

Did AVM will update once it certified ? or it will says same msg as NOF issue waiting for Reply etc
Because while I am checking with AVM all my company's cases it is giving same msg waiting for Reply (since 2003 cases)..
My company is a American Company

My NOF is on salary - they want more...my attorney says that once my company approves and signs the paper, it will have to sit in the company notice board for 10 days before he can send it in...is that true?

That is true, it has dispaly on Notice board for 10 business days.

For NOFS of cases in my company, all were certified pretty quickly around the due date of their reply.
 
Received NOF

Dear friends,

Just want to share my information with you guys.
Case filed NJ State: 02/25/2002
Approved and transfered to NY DOL: around 05/10/2004
Case received by NY DOL: 05/17/2004
NOF issued by NY DOL on prevailing wage: 10/01/2004

Called lawyer. He said it needed to repost inside company for around 10 days.
looks like I am in same situation with Ronbans and Nivasch.

I will post any updates here.

pre-appoved labor

I am looking for a pre-approved labor.
I have 9 months left for 6 yrs on my H1 visa to end.My current employer applied for my GC- but I don't think they company will survive that long.

Hi gurus

Today My attorney inform me that I got NOF from NJ state on labor certification regarding prevailing wages. I wonder how come NJ state issue NOF on prevailing wages? I was in impression that Prevailing wages query supposed to be generated by regional level(NY DOL) but not Statelevel. Please correct me if i am wrong. Thanks in advance for your information.
