To Andy300z and Grosval: I had mine interview done on Mid May and the officer said the same thing, wrote NYC pending and told us we should get it by mid June to July. After 19 years still no where or maybe close to the end.

hey guys
whoever are NYC pending will definately get their GC's soon. and I am sure it will also happen for all of those who are waiting for the interview.
In any case, it a long weekend and leave the worries of the GC aside and have a great time for now, we have lots of time to worry later

TD: June 2005. Bad?
Hi,
I received my transfer notice June 13 2005. Is this bad? I think I have to wait at least a year before I could glimpse for the letter.
But my colleague who submit her I-485 just one month before me and she already got her GC(plastic) on 7/5/2005. Only took her 4 months after she submitted I-485. Her case didn't transferred to the local office, why?
Compare to you guys whose TD is two years earlier than me, I have no hope for GC this year right?....

Well since your interview is pending at local office and there is no visa number available, it looks like you have the same scenario as mine although mine got transferred on july 19,2004 (oh yeah soon it will be a year)
I have asked couple of lawyers including mine and also read on murthy.com transcripts and they all say that USCIS even locally will not approve or stamp any passports even if you are awaiting your interview till the visa numbers will be available again and your PD is current.
So, I guess we will all have to wait and see till october comes and it becomes available again.

Anyone knows abt this specific situation that i have, Last august'04 i was intrviewed for 485 approval, it was not approved bacause of my pending background check/name check, I followed up with NNCP and got the news that it is cleared as of may 05, i waited for a month and half then made an infopass, on the infopass day i was waiting to hear either approval or the name check update pending news, to my surprise the officer at info pass siad my case is no more in the fed plaza, the one wo interviewd said the case will be with him, i took this confusing news at infopass easily and still waiting to hear the approval any day as i beleive my case is EB2, anyways my reasoning for the confusing news from infopass was ,some of these people who give the info may not be knowing their own system (as we see such people in our daily work), i saw few other clerks were so easy going and were talking so freely with infopassers, so i thought i will pay one more visit to c a nicer person, I guess i get it one day -----

I got it, Thanks to all forum organizers , community and Rahul Kumar for the postings on NNCP.
We received the physical cards and welcome notices. it was painfull though. I feel mine took one of the longest paths, mine came to local office (there is a official doc why a case would come to loc off - mine came as i filed my 485 and my wifes 485 separetely) through missouri transfer and in 04'aug the interview happened, the DAO(dist adjudication officer) was very professional, I was not stamped that day becoz background check was pending - he completed the interview and said the same, he asked for original I 140, bring along original 140 to interview , i have seen this was asked rarely, He took all the tax docs and everything, Having seen the approval date i beleive he didn;t do any delay as soon as my nncp was completed.
In the cards i c the approval date of jun 05, As i mentioned in my pior posting, when i did infopass, the clerk read no info about my approval eventhough it was all approved by that date, so some people have no clue where thay are looking or the system is not up to date ( i guess the system could be little bit out of sync but what i was told was totally old info), so if you hear some irrelevant info than that you know of, try to deal with an other person -- in my opinion. As i though it was approved by that day when i made the infopass.
