I don't think change of venue attracts any more people. The main problem with people is lethargy and lack of belief in these activities. Most people will do something only if they know that it is going to help them personally. Many people will not go that extra mile (even to a bar :p ) if they are not sure of the outcome.
How ever, the core team can think of forming 4 regional teams (VSC,CSC,NSC and TSC) and members from each service center should have one meeting each at a central location. We can think of meeting at some 'Bar' for such a meeting.

I too would like to attend. I live in NJ. But why not publish the location on this forum. Whoever wants to come will attend. Also, why a bar ? Finally we my end up drunk. Why not at some other location like a snack restaruant like "Bombay Talk" or something. Let us know what you think.

Let us meet in a relaxed atmosphere. How shall we introduce each of us there ? Any funny ideas ? Think about it and present it at the meeting.

I think we are meeting for a purpose. If we meet in a bar, the purpose may not be fulfilled.

At the same time, one should welcome as many people as possible. I think if the head count crosses 20, then we can think of some hall.

Guys,
Write to your congressman. It looks like now is the right time? Write to Menendez and Pallone.

This can be done anytime. Before or after meetings and preferably before any BAR outings.

'rajudm' said that he will not be able to make it. Rest others should be coming. You have forgotten 'rajum' (different from 'rajudm'). Also we might have one more person (WaitingL1's friend). So let us hope we will be a group of atleast 10 people. It should be fun. Be prepared to stay there till 7pm because we are going to have a conference call with the Core team members spread across the USA. That call starts at 5PM. So it should be a terrific meeting. The real show kicker.

Are you all confirmed for the meeting ? 'rajum' and 'sambas' confirmed to me over phone.

I am curently residing in district 13 and the congress man is Robert Menendez. Do you have any idea about him ?

As I said before, write a letter to him. Try to call him or his immigration people...what else are you looking for? He is Hispanic, Democrat and you can complain about the Republican's promises.
 
Hi Team,
It's snowing left and right here (Newyork). The forecast is pretty bad for tomorrow also. What shall we do ? Will we be able to meet ? If it snows tomorrow (as predicted), then we may have to postpone the meeting to Sunday. Please give your thoughts on this. I will keep posting in this thread till tomorrow noon. So you can always refer this thread for the latest position. You can also call me on the phone.
