lawyer only got the 12digit NJ case #. Says they do not have a NY DOL case #. Says a NY DOL case # is only got if you get a query. Is this true?
Lawyer however has a postcard saying its moved to federal.

that's correct.. if u do not get an RFE, you do not have a Case #..
folks, my labor was filed in Dec 2001 and i had an RFE, my lawyer did furnish the papers required for RFE and it reached DOL on Mar 29, but nothing has happened yet...Does any one know what date they are working on ??

Ask your attorney to talk to NY DOL People !!!
Looks like NY DOL is processing April cases

RFE from Nj DOL

I field for RIR Nj Labor Feb 2002. Got an RFE a few days ago, regarding prevaling wage. My lawyer has decided to appeal? Does any one know, what happens after this. Does the state forward my case to federal. What would federal do? Can it request another RFE? What is the worse case scenario? Can they deny my labor ?

If anyone knows, answers to these I would really appreciate it.

Thank You

Labor Approved

I heard on the DOL Phone retrieval system, that my labor has been approved on June 29 2004. They recieved my case at the NY DOL on April 20 2004, although my case from NJ SESA was approved on Jan 23 2004.

My details were EB2 RIR Software Engineer. Applied on Nov 20 2001.

Good Luck to all and see you guys in 140/485 forums.

Did the message specifically say that all cases at DOL were certified?

Nice.. I am still waiting ... sent to regional on May 20 2004.

Forget this. They make a misprint on my H1 renewal and it has taken them 3 weeks and still not recieved.

I got an RFE in mid March, responded by mid April, and it has still not tranferred to the regional office. According to my lawyer "it often takes them 4-6 months to forward the case".

I occasionally dial the NY regional automated case staus and I still get "That number cannot be located." We just have to be patient (but you know that already...)
