Dear experienced friends..

I applied for asylum on Sept 06, interviewed on Nov 06. Received a denial letter on Aug 07. And then i appealed and finally on march 08 i was in a room with the Judge, interpreter, my lawyer and DHS lawyer i guess. We all spent 4.5hours in that room. Decision was the judged granted my asylum BUT DHS would like to appeal and DHS did appeal.
Time flew by till no there is no news about it. I miss my wife & daughter back home. Planning to bring them in here to US. They already have tourist visa as we applied together back home on 2006. Their visa will be expiring on march 2011 soon. The questions i would like to ask you all:

Will they be able to have SSN like i do once they enter US? (I had put their names in my asylum application)
Will the immigration officer at the airport will know they are the family of an asylum application who try to enter US?
If they enter US just for holiday rather than for good, will there be any problems to my application or my present status?

I am sorry to ask too many questions.. but i am really desperate for answers. I thought any of you might have experienced this or have some knowledges about it.

Once again thank you so much for your all attention. thank you so much

in this case, my best bet is hire a good immigration lawyer since it is about a case where family comes here on temporary visa and wants asylum benefit from you.

Tourist visa holders will not get SSN

No, unless your family told him, you being as an asylum applicant will not effect their visa, they came for a visiting purpose.... They should not say things like "we came to stay as asylees"!!

No

Hope you win the asylum case and settle with family soon :)

I don't think they will have any problem at POE and keep in mind that if your family who has been already mentioned on your application could enter US, they will be okay and remain if you get asylum approval. In other word USCIS will not look at their manner of entry or if they overstayed their visa or how they entered and so on and so forth. They will be automatically eligible because of the nature of asylum or refugee status. I would try to bring them over and have them stay because either you all will stay or leave and will be together in this difficult chapter of your lives.
Good luck

I would suggest to focus on getting asylum approved and then petition for your family. YOu might open another can of worms by bringing them in the country like this on visitor visas. I know its tough but you don't want to give up now.

Dear friends..

Thank you so much for all the inputs been given to me. I do really appreciated them. I will throughly think this over and over whats best for my situation. Hopefully i will get an approval letter by end of this year :).

Well i guess he was an amateur lawyer of DHS. Wasn't happy that he lost and try to build a name. He doesn't believe that i am a Christian. Well i'll just leave it to God then :)
