N-400 Applications in December 2007-January 2008

I haven't seen any TSC application submitters (including myself) whose case receipt number showed up on front of cashed check. Only the check cashing receipt number showed up on back of check.
 
You are right Bob. I did not have the receipt number on the check. I don't see the need to have the receipt number before the noa is received as it takes alot longer for it to show online.

Don't count on it to show online. The USCIS online case update system is not accurate nor up to date.

Well, I had the receipt number on the front of the check. I checked my online bank account 4 days after sending my N-400, saw the check was encashed, grabbed the receipt number from the check image, put it in the online case status service and VOILA.... my case showed up. It hasn't since been updated yet .... but that's a different story. So, to some lucky ones, the online status makes sense but for most of us it is pretty useless. Sometimes it gives false information like some people who already got their USC last year, still have the case status as Pending.

Did you guys check your status online?. When I tried it, it displays ..

"Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

* Case Status Retrieval Failed
* This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center."
 
I do get the same error message. it looks like they are not upto speed with the updates online yet

1/15/08 FP notice
2/13/08 Fingerprint
all the rest in god's hands
applied to VSC (baltimore district)
 
Gatedgal: You and I have the same PD(01/07/08). Is your FP done?. What do you mean "FP will expire : May 2008 "????
 
It looks like all other service center move smoothly, and I hope I could receive my finger print appointment soon and start earlier the battle of the name check process.
 
I can see that the days to interview on the Noa do not mean anything. I Have the least that i have seen on this post, yet have not received my FP notice. Hopefully i will get it soon.
 
I had my fingerprints done last year in February and i am told that they are good until May 2008. Therefore i did not need to travel all the way down to Charlotte and back. Thank God! I hope i will get my IL soon.

Just pray & hope for the best because my name check was cleared in March of 2007 but since my FP got expired in Aug 2007 I was unfortunately called to re-take my FP in Sep 2007. There is no guarantee but hopefully you should get your IL soon if there is not a huge backlog for interview letters this year.

Why did you have you Fp done last year ?? just curious
