N-400 Applications in December 2007-January 2008

Just received my FP notice today. And the appointment is for the 28th of Feb i guess things are moving along just fine.
hopefully the rest will be just as smooth
 
i did my fingerprints today :). did not breathe til i went to the baltimore application center because i wasn't sure whether they'd be open considering the weather. they were. the people could have not been nicer. now, it got me thinking. how long are cleared fingerprints good for? i had my fp done last year in december 2007 for the 10 yr green card and got the approval in may 2007. are they still valid? huh, or maybe i am just giving myself some hope here. hoping for a good fast outcome as everybody else

Does it mean NC cleared- no idea. any thoughts ????????????
 
Hi Chakwal-Boy - how do you know your namecheck was initiated on 12/20/07? I thought the namecheck will not be performed until the finger print is done.

WHEN was your check for the processing fees cahsed out? Did you do all the punching of two holes on the top of each page you submitted? Where in Queens do you live? Most probably you will be interviewed at Garden City office than in Manhattan. Your timeframe about your case so far is the most speediest one I've ever seen despite of being on many immigration sites over the years...It seems that they IMMEDIATELY started working on your case upon receiving your application; otherwise how it has been possible to receive NOA within 10 days while mail alone sometime takes 5-7 days...Anyway, good for you...

Philly is one if the slowest place >.< hopefully my super short name will be a perk in the checking processes. I am planning to pay them a visit mid march during school's spring break. Or I will have to wait till May since my school is at Atlanta

I do not know the two holes that you mentioned.....:(

Eventhough I did my FP so soon, I still have to expect within 540 days of IL :mad:
 
Did my fingerprints today.Very painless experience. Now hopefully i will not be caught up in the Name check. By the way how does that process work ? Do the majority of the people stuck in the name check have very common names or does it have nothing to do with that .
As for me i have a very rare and unique name.
Just curious.

I am looking at your signature. In that you mentioned that your name check is cleared. And there is no info about when you did your FP. How do you know that your name check is cleared? I thought namecheck is done only after FP. No?

Please explain.
