same here. LUD on approved I-140 only but not on any other petition. FP is good as it was done september 2006. Just wondering if this is realted to name check!

I noticed LUDs on my previous H1B (from 2001) on 7/22 and I140 (from 2006) on 7/28.
I applied for 2nd EAD a couple of months ago so maybe they are about to approve my 2nd EAD... (I hope its 485 instead.....

)Just got LUD 07/28/07 on approved I140 approved March 2006. Also I have been getting LUDs on AP's for my wife and kids once a week for the last 3 weeks but no LUDs on my AP. IO did call me just before the LUDs started on my family to ask if I had an approved I140 and for a copy of the I140 she gave me a fax # to fax it to. Are they just checking for approved I140 for AP's or it something bigger.
I have not checked to see if I have passed background checks. I did have a background check approved back in March 07 for another visa, don't know if that has any influence.

Since you applied I-140 in TSC, and 485 at NSC... so they just checking with you regarding i-140 approved or not ? Strange..
I beliebe I-140 is related to Company - How can we have copy of company document ( theoretically ) ??
Either way I think some process is going on your case... may be you can expect approval soon.... I am on positive side..

same here folks. LUD on I-140 and old AP. FP's are current. Was stuck in NC last I checked a few weeks ago. EAD and AP renewal requests were sent earlier this month.
Will keep you all posted. Just feels good to see some activity on my case I guess

Noticed LUD of 7/28 on my approved 140. I guess no one knows why they are touching old cases. I have noticed several theories so far, but nothing conclusive.
Reason # 1: Before they give out interim benefits (such as EAD, AP), they are looking into old stuff - seems good reasoning.
Reason # 2: They are archiving old stuff, hence making sure they have scanned each and every case - hard to believe, but who knows
Reason # 3: They are actively working on adjudicate these cases so they they can utilize all of the visas given to them by DOS - Too good to be true
Please add to the list if I missed out anything.

I spoke to IO on 27th. My address on the file was updated by them and I had noted a LUD on 485 on July 22. But on 27th I called again. My wife's 485 had our old address and we requested them to update.
Now I see a LUD on 485 on 7/27. But no LUD for my wife's 485.
And then there are bunch of LUD's that bear 7/28 date on the
following
a) Two approved 140's that were approved in 2006 (one LC sub based and
one regular 140)
b) My and my wife old AP (that was approved in 2006)
We didn't see any LUD on new approved AP's or any old or new
EAD's.
Reading other messages there seems to be a pattern as far as
these LUDs on AP and 140 are concerned.We can only keep our

most of the luds from this past weekend seem to be on cases that were filed sometime last year. Most folks who filed then are approved already unless you were stuck in NC.
we'll see if something comes up. Maybe they just finished our NC's or maybe nothing....

Reason # 2 sounds the most probable. Likely their CS was doing some database update, and old cases got touched. I doubt IOs were looking into them. If they were working on adjudicating I-485s, then I'd expect to see LUDs on I-485 cases instead. Also, not all of us who had LUDs on old cases have interim benefits applications pending at the moment.

The kind of pattern I saw for most of them is, approval without much LUD's. After finger prints completed by May, they get approval by July. (approx 45 days ) though this not constant too... Well I have few a LUD on 140 that occured on July 22nd. Keeping my fingers crossed and trying to be optimistic.

My spouse (derivative) I-131 which was approved last year has an update on 28th July and my I-140 whichi s approved last year also has an update on 28th July. My GC is approved this May and spouse GC is still pending because of medical RFE. Spouse renewal EAD is applied last week online and mailed documents in the middle of the week. Not sure if there is any relation to RFE response, EAD application and updates on I140 and I131.

I wad talking about we mailing supportin documents to online EAD renewal for the derivative case. In your case, it could be Finger print notice mailed to you. Check on all your previous addresses or take a infopass appointment and ask to mail the document again.

I tried couple of times, but no one has a definite answer for it. In NSC they say it is green card. With TSC IO and Infopass, nothing has been decided on my case. Any further updates, I had to wait till 30 days and ask them about it, before 30 days, they cannot answer or can never begin a SR for me. I need to wait for one week and see if that works.
I also read in the other forum, that this can happen due to a glitch computer ( source : TSC IO ).
BTW I got my second FP done in June 07. It was processed by FBI and USCIS already received it. Every thing clearing and waiting for nothing

After seeing LUDs on some of the folks' H1Bs, I added all of my H1Bs to the portfolio. I have LUDs on my approved H1Bs of the employer, who sponsored my GC. The rest of the H1Bs (old) dont have any LUDs on them.

7/14/07 - 1st H1B with the GC sponsoring employer
7/22/07 - 2nd H1B, I140, I131/AP (old/1st).
7/23/07 - per IO, 2nd BIO notice sent out (scheduled on 8/07/07),

7/25, 7/26/07 - LUDs on I485, no change in message
