I think we're really going to have to be patient. I have a very common name. I think I'll be LUCKY to be through it in less than 6 months! Frankly, I'm anticipating over a year!

Not to discourage or anything, but you will see two LUDs immediately after the FP, then it goes to sleep.
I haven't seen any activity since then in my case.

The two updates you received represent the sending of your name for name check and the response. After that, you should expect more updates in like 4 weeks.
What this mean?
I have received from CRIS that my I-485 case status: Card production ordered. What this mean? This quick? Only two Luds and the third Lud on card production? Whith in 2months 25 days? Priority date is not current...how can this be?
If this is true...how long will it take to received the card? I made travel plan using AP...now it seems that I can travel using GC.

Congratulations my dear friend. Your GC is o the way. You may get another LUD saying approval notice sent. Either way, within 2 weeks, you should behold your GC

My wife's I-765 was approved 8/1, mine is still pending! I am a little worried since my H1B expires 10/1. I was told to go to info pass and get an appoitment to see my local Application Support Centers (the place where I had my finger prints). to probably get an interim EAD?!

You mean to say that name check is cleared, if we get to LUD after FP. In that case do you think, I can see more LUD between mid and end of this month, as my and family LUD changed two times after FP. Please see my signature.

2 LUDs after finger printing is related to FP and name check initiation probably.
If you see any LUDs after that pobably a good news soon.
No one knows how long name check takes. There are people waiting for years stuck with name check. If we get it soon then we are really lucky

Er. I don't agree with this at all. Name check is 100% independent of fingerprinting. It is usually sent shortly after data entry and often well in advance of fingerprinting. This is based on information I received from USCIS.

Name check initiation has got nothing to do with FP. The two are separate processes and run almost always in parallel.
Two LUDs immediately following FP is common, although some may only be able to see one LUD after FP.
Getting another LUD about 7-8 days after the FP is a good sign indicating that something is going on. Not that anything can be conclusively said, but that is an indication of progress.

Others have answered the question for me and I agree with them. The two LUD's right after FP are almost always received - just by looking at the trail here. See my signature for mine too but I am yet to hear anything else.

I talked to one officer in USCIS and he said name check starts after FP. Anyway, I wont take his word for it because it looked he had some fight with his wife in the morning. He was really rude.
It's more of an exception than a rule. In general whenever I call, I find both IO and CSR very courteous.
