Congrats again MA_05. I think fixing date of birth is very minor issue compared to getting the GC.
 
Finger Printing done today morning. See a LUD on my I-485, no change in LUD on the rest.

Received Greencard this week for myself!

No change in wife's yet (her last 485 LUD was in June 2007).
Is this common (that is mine gets approved but hers has not changed since June 2007?). Please share your thoughts.

My 485 approval was much faster than I thought...so don't loose hope guys!

In my case situation is quite interseting. We filed the AOS, EAD and AP on June 6th 2007. We didn't expect any quick respons from USCIS and changed our apartment in July. To our surprise they approved AOS for me and my wife as well as EAD for my wife on Aug 7th 2007 (Yes exactly after 61 days of filing).

Interesting part of story is that they approve AOS even befor entertain my change of address. They only changed the address in our EAD application not all of them. (I still can't understand that person should have the address not the application. Why one would need to get receiept of one application at one address and other at different one. If person change the address then it should refelect on its all application not one)

The next part of the story is that my wife got both EAD and GC. (Yes EAD at new address and GC on old one with mail forwarding). I was a primary applicant and still waiting for my card (Both of us approved on same day).

And the last part of the story is that she (my wife) has my birthday on her card.

There is no need to call them. Just go ahead with all ur receipts and tell them. They will accept ur request and take FPs. I did the same yesterday.

485 - LUDS - June 21 (day after FP) and then on Aug 1, 2007
After that, GC was approved but not for my wife yet...has this happenned to anyone yet...just curios...thats all. I guess we will have to wait and see for her.

My country is Bangladesh.

Is Biometrics last step? I thought biometrics needs to be done before EAD approval?
 
H1B Validity after I485 Approval

Hello All,
I have a my visa (H1B) stamped in passport for another year and i would like to visit India for a month. Worstcase, If my I485 (am i too optimistic????:D ) is approved while i was in India, can i still re-enter US with my H1B or H1B will become invalid as soon as I485 is approved?

FYI - I have not received my Advance Parole or EAD. More details given below.

You can double check but if your 485 is approved while you are away and you have a valid H-1B then you should be fine. Just keep the receipt with you. It is lawful to leave with the H-1B without abandonment

Spouse EAD delayed

Hi folks

My wife EAD was approved a day before me on Aug 12 ( approval notice send) , while mine was on Aug 13.
I recd my card yesterday 08/16 while we havent recd card for my wife. ( shouldnt dependent would have been recd earlier?)

Ironically she is the one who needs it most to start working.

Any thoughts or suggestions, should I call USCIS yet or wait for next week since they say it may take 30 days?

Anyone in same situation?

Wife and I got the EAD Approval notice and Card production ordered Email, Yesterday. (08/17/07). that was quick

We did not receive FP.
