Nonimmigrant visa no

In I485 form, we have to enter our current Nonimmigrant visa no.
Where can I find that info on the visa Stamped on the passport?

Is it the EAC no or the Control No or the number in Red font?

AP approved and EAD received

APs were approved on 10/27/03.
EADs arrived in mail on 10/27/03 (approved on 10/20/03).

I140/I485/EAD/AP ND 08/07/03
 
90 days back I filed my I-140/485/EAD and sofar not received RD/ND and EAD.My H-1 six year limit is reaching very soon.Can we get the Interim EAD without RD or is it a must to have the RD to get the interim EAD?

Or filing for the 7 th year extension would be the best bet ?

Please suggest what to do.

EAD Approved on 10/24/03.
I485 - Waiting

Not sure how come my wife EAD got approved and not mine....

RFE on I140: 10/27/2003 (yet to receive RFE)

nothing is approved yet...

You mean RFE on EAD ? The INS web site is showing that the
the current processing date for I-140 is 10/10/02 and you filed
in 08/03 , so how would they jump to this date ?

Hi LcDecade

No it shows an RFE on 140. For EAD and AP it shows that they have received the application on 08/20. I have seen in this forum that they issue an RFE on 140 before approving the EAD and AP if there is something wrong or missing.

jay-gm is right!! Before working on EAD/AP a preliminary check is done on I140 before approving EAD/AP.
 
Does anyone know how long it would take to get the recepit number for 140 , 485, EAD and AP after sending it to Sevice Center.

I have to apply for 140/485/765/131/FP shortly for myself and my wife?

Can somebody tell me how many checks I have to write out for each form and the amount for each check ?

Got RFE on EAD/AP, they need clear photocopies of a valid government issued identification (passport, drivers license etc). Anyone faced this before? I did send clear photocopies of passport along with the application, but the picture may be 10 years old, is that a problem? Do I send the same thing again? Also, I can't get a clear photocopy of drivers license because it has lamination on it.

I have not applied my I-485, but my lawyer asked for color copies of Passport biographic page and License for myself and my spouse.

She mentioned that there are RFE's on the IDs and so require color copies also.

Try sending color copies.

RFE on EAD

Yesterday when I checked my case it said they need additional evidence or information in this case. They have mailed the notice yesterday only.

I am waiting for the notice to know what could be wrong?

Does any got RFE on EAD? If so what kind? Please post.

Medical Exam

I live in PA, but travel to NY regularly. I have to apply for 140/485 soon.

Can I do medical examination with an INS approved physician in NY or should I do it with a PA-based physician only?

I also thought that I can do it in NY or PA or Anyother state. But Attorney murthy says that u have to do it in the same state.

Attorney Murthy : One cannot take the medical from the next state and obtain the GC approval. Maybe one could submit the I-485 without the medical report for now and then send that in later, when the INS issues an RFE. Some INS Service Centers may choose to reject the package for not sending in the medical, though. Complete everything else and wait just to send that in and then FedEx the package to INS.
 
Where is PA are you in. There are doctors who do INS exams as their full time profession. You can walk in, then get the package in 2-3 days.

There are doctors in Philly who do that.
