July-Sept 2003 cases (Excel Attached) - READ ONLY

Folks,

My Lawyer is about to prepare my document for I-140 and I-1485 . Is our signature required only for the I-485 section and not for I-140 , EAD and AP forms .

Can anyone confirm this for me ,

I thought the I-140 at least belong to the Employer and needs only the Employers authorization.

You do not need to sign the I-140 petition. Your employer will file this on your behalf. The company HR Representative will have to sign this.

The individual petitioner will sign the rest of the forms like 485, AP, EAD etc.,

Nothing seems to be happening on the EAD, I-140, I-485 front. First the labor takes over 2 years, now looks like the next stages will take another 2 years with no end in sight...can't take it any longer...meanwhile, the torture continues....

I have a question. My GC is in process. I recently applied my AOS. Recently I got married to a girl who is on F1 visa status in US and applied Adjustment of status for her too. Prior to our marriage, she was working in her school for 20 hours a week(per F1 regulations). As she has applied for AOS recently, her student visa status is gone and her status become AOS pending. Can she continue to work 20 hours a week, as she used to work before marriage? If she works, is it treated as illegal? What is supposed to be done if she worked until she gets her EAD?

If her F1 status is still valid, isn't she still in status? So she should be able to work on that until that is valid. From my understanding, your status automatically doesnt change by just applying for AOS, it changes once you start using the EAD. Consult with a lawyer for your situation to be safe.

if ur wife is taking required credits to maintain her f-1, her f-1 is still valid and she can continue to work till she start using ead.

I updated the excel sheet with my info.

But I left out the Mailing date column blank. I know what is RD and ND, but I don't know what is MD. And I don't know when my company mailed my applications.

I think you've update the wrong sheet by mistake. All the data from the sheet relates to June and all history has disappeared.

1. I don't know my mail dates, I left them blank.
2. My 140 dates are in June. Is that OK, though this is a thread for July-Aug-Sep 03.
