pcc not required

That is how we create our own problems. Eventhough it is not required we will take it and make sure that Chennai starts asking for the same.
Just kidding. I am not sure what is going on in spite of Chennai consistently replying back to who ever asked about pc that it is not required.

This is a very important process and they are not stupid to decide at the time of interview and ask for PCC. Any how I am not going waste my time on this issue even though I can get it from Chennai . I will not apply for it .

BC Issuing Authority

Guys, i was born in a small village in Tamilnadu. Since my birth is not registered i need to get my \'Not Available\' certificate from authorities. If that certificate is issued by village authorities (Village Administrative Officer) should it suffice ?
He is giving that Certificate in a typed white paper whith his Seal .
Is that ok ?

My interview is in Jan 24, 2002

Please help
 
CP Interview, Chennai on 1/24/02

I received my Pkt4 at my Chennai address on 12/10. Just got all the Pkt4 forms FedEx\'d to me i.e. to my US address. No mention of PCC in the list of docs needed.

Got an email confirmation saying PCC is not required.

what all documents did u take to get a local Police clearance.
 
reply from consulate - no information about our packet3

We sent our packet3 on Dec 1st to chennai and the consulate received it on Dec6th, we sent a mail on 10th asking whether they had received the packet3 for which we got a reply "Please enquire with us after a week". Two days later we asked our relative staying in India to call and verify, after he gave our case number to the operator, she confirmed with him the primary applicant\'s name and had asked him to call after 10 days to check if we would have our interview in Jan.

On Dec 17th we sent a mail to double check if our info had entered into their system, for which we got a reply "We have no information about Pkt3." What does this mean? We assumed that our info has entered into their system since they gave the name immediately after our relative gave our case number over phone, however their reply to the mail says there is no information about our packet3. Has this happened to anyone else? Have they told anyone\'s name correctly without receiving the packet3?

My interview is on 01/18 .. I don\'t have PCC. I am planning to take from local Police Station there. Anyone has done this before ?

birth certificate affidavit -Help !

Guys,
     I was born in Vishakapatnam but I have no birth certificate. I do have a sworn Affidavit but is stamped in Chennai (not Vishakapatnam). Does this matter? Know Any one with a similar case and got the gc? My interview is on Jan 23rd !
 
I am on 18th too.

I am completely banking on Chennai\'s words that PCC from India is not required. My folks tried to get it from local police station, but it is not easy and they need the person to be present in Chennai to do their verification.
Plz let us know if you find anything more on getting from local police station.

I am planning to carry LC approval/I-140 approvals/Educational Certs. with me along with the copies of petitions.
