What information did you seek exactly? I had requested a name check with FBI.. it's been 4 months now, I had faxed them twice.. then they stopped accepting faxes/phone inquiries, so I emailed them twice..no response yet. I am also thinking of applying FOIA. But I don't know what to ask for. I would appreciate if you could tell me what can be requested.

Hi,

I just faxed a request of status letter to my congress man, and the lady, who was very nice and courteous, explained that she knows NSC are moving to a new facility. To my question, whether this fact relates to the delays, she responded by saying no, as at the same time, they are assigning cases to other service centers, and NSC is simply loaded with cases, hence the backlogs. She is asking to be patient, however will get back to me with an answer in 1-2 weeks. I will let you all know what was her answer as soon as I hear back,

Something happening in my case, LUD updated today. I sent a fax to senator a week ago, maybe they are removing some dust from my file to check its status.

I am from MI. I am not going to check any change in LUD for probably good week. I hope it is more than removing dust, and they are actually moving forward with your case.

AP2 got approved today. Lets see what happens with 485, its changing LUD for 2 days. But FP2 is still due.

Yours is going to be the test for an AP triggering FP2, although for Japanese it has not worked. I will be awaiting news from you.

On another note I am running a script for 03-087 RD (Jan 22, 2003) and the results are surprising. Nearly 1/3rd have been touched (FP sent/recd/RFE/Approved). This has been an eye-opener for me as I am under the impression, based on postings here and Rupnet, that FP2 is almost non-existent for 03 apps.

I will post the updated excel spreadsheet soon.
 
But at the same time I have a pending query at Senator's office, what if they are asking USCIS to provide a status check and thats what causing 485LUD changes.

AP LUD again changed today, but 485LUD is same as yesterday.
 
Rsur, can you run a report on 03-078? I asked my congress man, and got a call today that they have my file and are working on it, and that my impression about 1/03 filers not getting FP2 is wrong.

Is there any benefit in trying for an early FP2?.

There is a scanner on the CSC 140 thread that is simple and effective. It would be a good idea for you to run scans at regular intervals to analyze patterns. I am sorry but it does take a while and my hands are full with 03-087.

I am wondering about this because you did not mention anything about FP2 one day before and then you got the FP2 notice the next day. Are they updating the case status in a timely fashion?

There has been no change whatsoever and it seems erratic that some case status is 'FP sent'. Majority of them are FP Recd and changed in October. Given below are the cases for analysis. After a while I just updated the case status as RFE Recd whenever I saw a fingerprint message (This is a manual operation).

2 nd FringerPrint Notice

I just got an email from my lawyer that he received 2nd Fingerprint Notice for both my wife and myself, also they scanned the Notices and sent them to me and they are scheduled for 12/09/04.
But I still didn't receive any notices from USCIS(NSC) yet. Please post how long does it take from there onwards for further processing and aproval.
