Receipt Notice still not recvd.

Our 485 package reached Nebraska (signed by J.Barret) on 2nd July at 10:25 a.m.. We have not recvd. anything from there. I am worried. Gurus could you advise me whats the next course of action I should take. I did call the 1-800 number but there was no entry so far.
 
finally got receipts for my wifes case. Phew!

This would be the most recent date when the file has been touched/reviewed/updated.
 
Take her along with her passport and EAD card to your local SSN office, she'll have it in a week.

How to find out LUDs

On the USCIS Case Status Online Website, register to create a profile of yours with a login name and password. Then, add your receipt numbers into that profile. Now your profile will look like a grid, with a column called "Last Updated mm/dd/yyyy"

Everytime your case is opened or updated, this date will change to the current date and thats how you will know when was the last time your file was touched. Its simple, helpful but not 100% accurate.

My husband and my Checks got cashed today, but still I am waiting for my daughter's checks to be cashed.

I-485 reached on July 2 : 11:35AM
Submitted to Nebraska.
1-140 was done last year.

I had requested help from local congressman sincem my case had been in NC for more than 1 year. They responded 2 weeks ago that it had been cleared.

I have one question. Once we receive EAD and all 9 yards notices and once you switch from H1 to EAD system with same employer, are you still bound to work with same employer for full 40 hours.. can you cut your hours to 20 hours (nooo second job too). I can just work 20 hours a week . Is that permissible to be on EAD and still get GC processed?
