I140 and I485 concurrent file and I140 approved, I485 Pending Thread

What could be the expectaion?

My PD is dec 13 2002.
Category:EB3/India
I140 Approval Date : 4.28.2005
I485 receipt Date:Oct 26 2004
Originally filled with Vermont.
Later Moved to Texas.

I am very new to this forums...Can any one help me how to analyse trend?
When can I expect my 485 Approval?

Scan through the forum..you'll see several postings about approvals and there is also a tracker spreadsheet that captures the approvals so far. There is no pattern you can derive. But I guess there are several folks with the same PD as yours...you may want to approach your local congressman or get an InfoPass appointment to get more details about your case....HTH

We are also in the same boat, Got FP2 notice on pending 485 last week and is going for the same on 07/13/07, Not sure whether they have assigned it to the officer at TSC.

LUDs on 485 -- 05/22/07 & 05/23/07

My post from the CSC thread,

Having been an exclusive member of the all those "mass LUD club" over the last two years this one does not excite me.

I think this may be the case of USCIS returning my visa number?. But then I don't know why they didn't update LUD when they assigned one. May be they were working so crazily fast while assigning the VISA number that they did not have time to update the LUD. Now that they are relaxingly releasing it!.

If none of the above -ve lines are true, I might be headed for an approval.

Any body having LUDs very recently ?

Just wanted to share the news that I just recieved email saying my card has been ordered.

PD dec 2001 India / NJ
485/140 filing : OCT 2004
140 Approval : Apr 2005
Case transfered from VSC to TSC on 3/15/07
FP2 : May 11
NO LUDs after that until today
07-13 : Card ordered both fro me and spouse.

Congratulations! Did you receive the email on 14th or 13th?
 
Can I open SR for my spouse case?

My spouse's case is pending. Can I open SR for my spouse case? If yes, how do I do that?

Congratulations on coming out of the rat race successfully!

I have a question.

Is the pd from the labor that was filed for you?
OR
Was it from a substitution of labor?

The reason for my question is that I am trying to assess the trend.
Are they considering PD as the date by which they are addressing the cases or the RD of I485?
I assumed earlier that it is PD. But then I saw a few cases with relatively newer PD getting addressed and subsequently approved. That did not explain anything and left me more confused than I am already :confused:

Any hope on this?

My I-485 was applied in 3/2006 and case transferred to TSC on 3/30/2006. Case status shows that the case was transferred to TSC and they will decide the case. My approved I-140 got LUD on 9/30/2007 and approved I-131 on 8/5/2007 ( both were approved in 2006). (I have not received any letter other than approved EAD and AP notices)
I am hoping some experts in this forum will shed some light on this. Please comment

I went to infopass recently and she told my Name check got cleared on Sep 20. (Magic date!, even rajrw got it cleared the same day). She said it is under review. I don't know whether this review is another 2 year process or just a few months deal. It really doesn't matter anymore.
 
Another twist!
My 485 is now transfered to Lincoln, NE!. I don't have any hopes with just 4 working days left in my current PD.
I have no idea why they are doing this though. (I never lived anywhere outside of CA)
 
H1B visa limit increased

I read that some of immigration bills were to be introduced today. Shustermanhas posted that H1B visa limit is raised to 200,000. Not sure what else was there on that bill. Anything in there for folks waiting for GC?

Oh My....Oh My...Finally I have got the email..

What a ride it was.........it took more than 5 years just for labor approval...at that point i thought I will never get my GC (when all my friends were talking about Citizenship).

After long...long wait.....finally I have got my GC. Its give sense of freedom especially when you travel.

I know there are few more folks out there like me who got stuck in the DOL (dept of labor). Our patience have paid off....hang in there you should get yours in couple of weeks.
