I-140 REF from NSC

I got a RFE on my I-140 and They are asking for my (not the employers) 2005 income tax returns with all attachments and supplements. Anyone has any idea abt this RFE . Wot is this for? . Pls help me . I'm kind of nervous abt the severity of this RFE .

Hello Everyone,

Please let me know what are the chances of getting my I-140 approved without any RFE. I have B'com ( 3 year degree ) from India and 5+ years of Exp before joining current employer. Following is the exact language from my labour. I have filed I-140 in the last week of October.

Box 14:
College Degree Required : Bachelor's *
Major Field of Study: Comp. sci, engg, math or Business
Experience: 2 yrs
Box 15 - Other Special Requirements:
*Bachelor's may be substituted with three years of university studies towards Bachelor's degree and three additional years of work experience.


ALSO, My 7th year H1 expires in May 07, I become eligible to file 8th year H1 extension in Dec 06.
My question is, say if I file for H1 extension and upgrade I-140 to PP in the same week and if they send RFE/deny I-140, is it going to effect my H1 extension process for the 8th year.

Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I-140 approved after PP conversion

My I-140 has been approved after I got it converted to premium processing. See my signature for detail.
 
There is no need to worry about RFE. It is becoming more like a standard procedure before the approval step. Just provide exactly what is asked for. Do not provide more information and do not provide less information.

Congratulations CAPDJUL2002, approval same day like mine lets wait for our I-485 approval soon lets hope. EB3 here, filled I-485 on August 2nd. 2006, see my signature for case related.

Hi Bostonma786,
I suggest working in your H1 extension first before upgrade I-140 to PP. Normal processing time for I-140 is about 6 months, so you will get your H1 first. This way you get away from risk of REF or deny your I-140.

I am also waiting since apr 3rd. Today my employer called uscis and thery opened a service request. Does any one know how long these service request will take. they told my employer to wait 45 days form today.

Is Nebraska moving now? I have seen 4 June approvals today ( this forum + trackitt.com) ranging from early june to as late as 26th june. Let's all hope & pray as well that they keep the pace.

Is your case filed with Original LC or copy of LC? If it is original LC why not upgrade to PP. That is a good option for you.

RFE on I-140

Looks like I received a RFE on 140 yesterday( Got an email from USCIS). I called my lawyer and they said that they have not received anything yet.

Does anyone know how much time will it take to get the RFE by mail and will I get a copy of it (or just the lawyer).

How much time you get to response the RFE ?

And how can I find out what was the RFE about ?

i-140 RFE -1st Dec 06 (did not upgrade to PP)
 
Usually the lawyer gets the RFE mail. Will take upto 5 days. You usually get 30 days to respond and no you cant find out what the RFE was unless your lawyer calls and they wont if they're anything like mine. Dont worry, it'll be fine.

Hello Gurus

My old company's LC (EB3) cleared and I am ready to file I-140 on future employment basis. Meanwhile my current company's LC (EB2) and I-140 are approved. Is there a way to port my old company's priority date to my current company.

Please respond as it is very important to me.

Hi Win77us,

File the I140 from your old company and get it approved. According to the law, you can choose a priority date to use if you have more than one approved I140. That means you can transfer the old PD from old company to your new EB2.

New Dates From NSC Yet?

I thought NSC changes dates info twice a month? any idea what are the new dates? or when ....
