My I-140 EB2 had been approved on July 13th. The requirement was MS+0 or BS+5 .It was Filed on Jan' 11th at VSC and Transferred to NSC on May 17th.There was a Query on June 16th. Replied to the the same Day.
My F@#$%& Lawyer did not sign the Petition and sent it to the Service Center.Anyways, was its Approved now.
 
Traveling with pending I140

Hi all,

I am on my 7th year H1 and I have filed for my I140 on Mar 30th 2006. I am leaving for Canada this week to get a visa stamped on my passport.

Do you'll know if I need to have advanced parole before travelling? Has anyone traveled this way to get the stamp??

If you are maintaining H1 status and havent filed 485 then advance parole is not required
 
Concurrent

I see many people with LC PD in 2002 and have filed I-140 (EB2) sometime this year. My question is why are they not using the concurrent filing benefit since the EB2 cut off date for India is Jan 03? Is marriage a reason or something else?

At times exploitation by company to increase the bondage is also an issue.
In my case change of title which could trigger a I-140 denial resulting in denial of 485 is the reason. I can not find many posting regarding that. Even attorney is sure that will not be the case but HR always have tthe final say.

I think NSC is finally moving. My I140 was approved today. Just got a call from my lawyer.

May be they must have been processing a lot of cases the past few weeks, but is sending out approval notices only now. I think we will see a lot of approvals soon.

Friends after waiting for nearly 5 long years for my LC to clear which is still stuck in BEC, My company decided to file my 1-140 with a Pre approved LC, that was approved yesterday.

Before Aug 2006 bulletin the date was Jan 2003. I think the Unavalable is bot a new news.

EB-2 Unavailable means USCIS ran out of Visa numbers for the category this year. The result of this would be no new I-485 would be accepted before numbers for next year are announced in October visa bulletin. USCIS would also stop adjudicating pending 485 till visa numbers are announced.
 
How long for Notice of Filing

My I-140 was filed last week. My lawyer prefers to get the NOF before filing I-485, AP and so on. I'd appreciate knowing how long the NOF takes!
