If someone can tell me how long does it take to get an official receipt from NSC to know the LIN number ? My I-140 was filed on April 3rd, if it is too early to ask attorney about receipt number to check status online ?

Mine was filed on the same date as well; I haven't heard anything yet. Usually my attorney would let me know about these as soon as possible. (Mostly because that's when he will send me bill as well).

USCIS Status check gives the following:

I-140 Online status

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I got my I-140 Receipt notice. I checked the status online on website USCIS.GOV. It says:

Current Status:
Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on April 7, 2006. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 150 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case.

Does it really takes 150 to 180 days to process EB2 case.

Thanks,

Use Internet Explorere. You migh be using mozilla firefox or some other browser.
USCIS website is compatible only with IE.

How Come the Processing times received by AILA is different then the Processing Times posted on the NSC - USCIS Webpage.

http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=19121

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=Nebraska

Can anyone Explain This???

Hi guys,

I have just received receipt notice for my I-140 and it starts with SRC XX-XXXX...

Does that mean that my I-140 went to Texas Service center? It was sent to Nebraska...
i am puzzled!!!

Your application will be processed by Texas Center. Nebraska center make the decision where the application should be processed.

From what state did you get your LC done?

Thanks,

does LIN imply processing will happen in Nebraska and SRC that it will happen in Texas? My lawyer sent my I-140 on April 3rd, but no news yet :( Filed from CA.

RP,

Do you want to do a consolidated tracker like the one on BEC by Adding another tab for TSC.
Even though all the cases are file in NSC as of now we have seen few cases going to TSC. (gth999,felix31.. more to come)
Also do you think we will add another column for Receipt number masking the last 4 or 5 numbers.

thanks for all your efforts.

PERM Labor processed in Atlanta. live and work in Virginia. So, before the Bi-spec rule was implemented, my case would have gone to Vermont.

I guess cetain states will be processed in nebraska and others in texas....

Its not based on "states" its random. I am from IL and my case has been sent to TSC and other cases from IL sent to TCS.

well, they maybe do just that; decide randomly on cases that will be transfered between nebraska and texas....

I dare to assume they may have some kind of rule who goes where and it may be based on hundreeds of things, ....who knows.. I may be wrong, of course

I like the idea. I will incorporate it in the tracker. Couple of quick questions
The cases which will be processed in NSC or TSC are only the ones filed after April 1st right?
The cases filed before April 1st to NSC will be processed at NSC, right?
Please confirm.

It is not exactly, California forwarded 10K cases to Texas directly some time in March. I am not sure about Nebraska, I hope that is right that Nebraska forwarded cases filed after April 1st only.

Tracker shows some EB2 cases pending since December 2005. Why are they still not processed? As the AILA shows the dates have been moved to 2006, I wonder what happened to old cases? Are they just disappeared from USCIS records? Any idea?

Please add this case to the tracker.

I-140 EB3 File Date: 3/7/2006
RD: 3/8/2006
LUD: 3/10/2006

Still Waiting

It looks like that NSC stopped to approve EB3 cases, more than a month I did not see any EB3 approvals. Although we saw only couple of EB2 approvals of the cases which were filed more than two months ago and I know personally a person whose EB1 case was approved in NSC which was filed in the middle of March, but nobody in EB3 category was approved recently. TSC was the fastest SC, approves now only very old California EB3 cases, filed long time ago. I think that Bi-Specialization dramatically slowed down approval process speed in NSC.
