I-140/485 Applied In December 2004

Guys,
I filed my I-485 on Dec'27th'04.Why is it taking so much time to get the receipt date and Notice date.
Is it normal or may be they received larger number of applications in last week of december.
My lawyer says if they had to reject the application they would have returned the checks by 1st week of January.It's just that this is a delay in processing.I hope this is true.
 
Luckiest (i dont want to use the Un part),
As per my attorney CSC received lot of cases and another thing is they are understaffed.

CSC received my case on 21st Dec and my attorney received the receipts on 6th Jan.

I guess you should receive the receipts any day from now.
 
Got receipts

Just got an email from my attorney. Got the receipts for I140/485/EAD/AP

EB3 concurrent processing Subsitute labor : PD 10/01

RD: 12/27/04 (This is the info from the attorney)
ND: 01/05/05

However, when i looked at the case status online, it says your application was received on January 05, 2005.

I havent got the physical receipt notices from the attorney yet.
 
My case was filed on 12/30.. still waiting for receipts.
(140/485/EAD/AP based on sub labor EB3 with PD 09/01)

Checks Deposited:

Most of my checks were deposited on 18JAN2005.
I should get the receipt within couple of days
 
Finally I got my receipt number for i-485 and I-765 for me and my wife.Still waiting for I-131's.
I checked online and it say as application received date as 6th jan.Will that be my RD.

Congrats, (Un)luckiest guy. Has anyone with RD 12/30 recieve Receipt notice?
 
Same thing for me. When I checked online, the status was " your application was received on January 5th 2005". But, my attorney said the RD on the receipt notice is December 27th and the ND is January 5th. I'll be getting my receipts tomorrow and I'll post what my RD after looking at the receipts myself.
 
Congrats Not-Yet-Unluckiest (just kidding!!)! My RD was Dec.30th, 2004.
I have NOT received my receipts yet. As a matter of fact, even my checks haven't
been deposited. I am just frustrated to see my bank
balance not go down every morning...only because the checks have not been deposited! :)
My concern is that I used a preapproved labor that was actually approved from
Chicago. So my attorney should have filed my case actually with the Nebraska Service
Center. Given CSC's faster approval rate, I was more than happy with what he did. But now that even my checks are not getting deposited, I am really worried about
2 dreadful possibilities -
1. CSC transfers my case to NSC
2. CSC just rejects my case citing incorrect filing.

Do you guys know if this is allowed - I mean filing I140/485 with CSC using
a labor petition that has been approved by Chicago????
 
I dont have the answer to your questions abouth validity of the filing but you still have hope -
My RD is also 12/30 and still waiting for receipts. I have no way of knowing if the checks have cleared yet since the lawyers sent the check.

Mine is also approved in Colorado and my RD is on 20th Dec (EB2). I received the receipts on Jan 7th from CSC. Don't worry your will come too in day or two.
Mine is NOT sub-labour. My lawyer said they is no such rule that you have to file only in specific region. I guess it goes with your residency but I am not sure.

Thanks for clarifying, ysrc! BTW, my checks were deposited yesterday. I guess I should get my receipts in 2-3 days.

No concurrent adjudication after Dec 28th 2004 ?

I heard from a news forum that applicants who filed I140/485
concurrently, after Dec 28th 2004, wont be able to enjoy
the benefits of concurrent adjudication (simulatenous approval
of 140 and 485). Is this true ?
The same INS memo says that concurrent filing is still allowed
but no more concurrent adjudication. Is this true only for
EB3 cases or for all ?

My case is EB3 and RD for all the three are 12/27/04. I have not recieved any FP notice yet..

Can you provide when did you apply?

i have applied in EB3 category but have not recd FP notice as yet.
who gets the FP notice the Attorney or it will be mailed at my address?

Received all receipts on 1/14

I got my FP notice today.
It had RD of 01/28/2004
Priority Date of 01/28/2004
ND 05 01/15/2005
This means I have to wait for the GC till PD becomes current.They did'nt take my substitute labour PD.Why not?Did anyone else had a PD as RD.
