desperately need EAD, any advice will be appreciated.

I was laid off in April. I filed my EAD on 03/28/02. I called INS twice about EAD that they told me it is still pending and told me don\'t come in before 06/28/02 for the iEAD.

I may got an offer by the end of this week (have been through one phone interview, two onsite interview, one recruiter interview). They want me to start ASAP. So I really want to get my iEAD. But which day should I go? if you count the exact calender dates, it will be 90 days on 06/26/02, but it seems that the INS "thinks" it should be 06/28/02. Can I go on 06/26/02? I am afraid that I will be rejected so that they may remember me and give me a hard time later.

I may write this too long. But my question is:

1) If you were me, when will go to get the iEAD?
2) Do I need original copy of I-485? what else I need besides I-765 and photo ID?
3) Should I bring in the offer letter if I get one?
4) INS told me to do it in LA office, can I do it in Santa Ana? I heard people are nicer there.

any adivce will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Did u receive the EAD card?? or did ur AVM change?? Something peculiar is happening in CSC.. WAC-02-092-xxxxx. No news of EAD yet:(

Sorry to hear that.

I think you have to wait, until 3 months after your RD.

Only the copy of I-765 and your ID are needed in Santa-Clara, and I-485 is not needed.

PCee, Plz update..EAD approved....

As per AVM EAD is approved for my spouse and me on June 19th. It sings " On June 19th after approving ur case, the cards has been ordered and it takes 120 to 140 days to process". Wierd..
Also, AVM for 485 says "processing resumed on May 22nd"

Not a weird message though.
After a month or so from this message, another message "...Case has been approved...." will play. After that, within a week or so you should get the cards in mail.
Above is the standard AVM route, but it might vary .

iEAD on 91st day from RD

1) If you were me, when will go to get the iEAD?
According to I-765 application form:

Interim EAD: an EAD issued to an eligible applicant when
the INS has failed to adjudicate an application within 90 days
of receipt of a properly filed EAD application.

In my understanding, we can get iEAD on 91st day from EAD RD,
but I\'m not sure that INS counts RD=03/28/02 as 0th or 1st.
If RD is 0th day, you may get iEAD on 06/27/02.
If RD is 1st day, you may get iEAD on 06/26/02.

Does somebody have an idea ?

So I have one more day!! I have decided to try on 06/27 Thursday at Santa Ana anyway. If they don\'t give me one, I will go again on 06/28.

I seems that everyone having posted I-485 on Feb 15 have not received their FP notice.

Same here, RD 2/15, FP still waiting.
 
It might be true, My RD is 2/15.

My RD for I-485 is 2/15, and ND is 2/28. Wac-02-122.
Still waiting for FP notice. San Jose.

My RD for EAD is 4/4, and ND is 4/5.
Approved on 6/12, received 6/17.

AVM updated for both of us (on June 24, 2002) to "on April 8 FP results received ..."

My wife\'s AP was approved although I have been still waiting for mine. I called the IIO and I was told that my AP was approved same day as my wife\'s - 3/7/02 !!! She further suggested that I may need to apply for a duplicate AP.

Got iEADs (valid for 4 months) on 4/19 at SF

Received EADs on May 18th, 2002.
