Abbreviations???

I guess PS means passport stamping.. What does the other abbr. mean?

PPS : ? (I guess same as PS)
CO : ?
CM : ?
CR : ?

I guess one can go for the stamping after receiving the approval letter but how the card request (CO) gets initiated? Does one need to fill out any forms? Isnt it come in the mail automatically or one has to make a request for it?

After receiving the approval notice, go to http://infopass.uscis.gov/ to set up an appointment for passport stamping.
You don't have to request the card, USCIS will take care of everything.

You can monitor the status of your case online.

For my case, 10 days after the stamping, I saw a LUD without changing message.
Approximate 1 month after the LUD, I got a CO notice.
4 days later, I got the CM notice.

Of course, everything depends on your service center and your luck.
 
I will be going for PP stamping next week in Boston.

What questions do they ask at that time?
Is the fingerprinting done by the same person doing the stamping? Or are there two different queues?

How long does it approximately take for the entire process? My appointment is at 8:45am.

New 485 Approval Notice Message

Recieved 485 approval notice today 3/28. week after approval.

Notice says,

Case approved. Immigrant Card Facility will mail card directly. If you dont recieve card in 120 days call Cust Service.



Apart from the above 2 lines nothing is mentioned.


Got 2 same copies for Self(Primary), 1 copy for Spouse.




Does this mean no need to go to PP Stamp..


Anybody in the same boat? Please share , I have infopass appt set up for
Monday April 4th.. Should I go or not??

Btw, my FP was Code 3, Electronic..

LUD changed repeatedly from 03/01/05 to 3/17/05
Card ordered on 3/18/05
Card mailed on 3/22/05
Card received on 3/28/05

You have to register yourself on www.uscis.gov website
After registeration, add all your receipts no's (H1-B, I140,485 etc) and make sure to check email box so that they can email you if there are any updates on your case.
