long wait

Passport stamped on 8/21/03 at NYC.
It's been exactly 6 mos today since getting the stamp. Still waiting for the plastic card.
 
PP Stamped in Buffalo, NY - No card yet.

All done at Buffalo office (NY)
PP Stamped : Dec. 30, 2003
No message change, no card, nothing.
 
PP Stamped in Newark on 6/11/03. Still Waiting for Card

My wife and I got our Passports stamped on 6/11/2003 in the Newark office.
I received the card in August 2003.
My wife is still waiting.

any others who got their stamp on 6/11/2003 in newark and still waiting?
 
Is it necessary to get pp stamped after approval

Hi all,

my case got approved feb 24th 2004, just wondering Is it necessary to get stamped on passport , or i can wait to receive plastic card direct in mail???

reason is my address mentioned as NY address and i am currently in california, i can't afford to go to NY just to get pp stamped.Also i am planning to go to china next month how long it's taking to get plastic card by mail.

please help ???

You have to stamp in your passport then they will order for your card. Coz, you have to submit your I-94, EAD/AP, Orginal approval Notice and 2 photos.
Did you receive ur approval notice. If you receive then you can go local INS and get the stamp , its not a prob.

You should get your passport satmped asap. The stamping of passport will initiate the process of plastic carder ordering by way of submitting two photograph and signature on a particular paper.
With 551 stamping on our passport, you can travel overseas. If you do not get your passport stamped, the INS will think that you have abdoned your GC process. For stamping , you can visit any nearby INS office. You do not need to visit NY oofice for stamping even if it mentioned. Hope this may help.

could you please tell me what kind of photo do i need to carry with me . Is it normal pp size or same immigration photo like i submitted for EAD/AP.

The photo should be taken within 30 days.
EAD types photos which shows your ear is ok. If you go to Ritz Camera shop or other standars shop and ask for INS Photo, they will do it. Otherwise, many of the INS office complexes have photo facilities. You can take that also.

checking status of pastic card

How do you find out the status of your plastic card after stamping?Some of you indicate the dates of CO and CM, but how do you know that? Do you use your EAC-0... number for I-485 and check the status on line like we used to check the status for I-485?

How much time does it take to get a welcome letter after stamping in Boston?
