Hi ,

I am trying to figure out the reason for all of us who sent application in early february and still didn't get their passports back. In my case, I didn't send the form with barcode. I did send the feb2003 version but with space for barcode sticker. Did any one use that form? I'm wondering that is it because of that BCIS took a while to load data in the system.

Hi,
I don't know whether using Barcode forms is going to speedup the processing time. I sent my wife's and my passport on feb16th (recd SL feb 17th) using online barcoded application forms. Till now i didn't receive the PPs.
My friend sent printed hand filled forms on December and he received the stamped pp exactly in 3 months.

By electronic, if you mean filling up the DS-156 form on the website, then that is what I did.

It doesn't have anything to do with filing out information online.
Electronic means when you take the print out of your ds156 form then you have the real barcode in that DS156 form. In nonelectronic way there is no barcode but only a space to put the barcode for BCIS people.

I checked the photocopies of the ds156 that I sent. Yes, the barcode is there along with a unique ID under it.

but they told me that they can't let me know the status. i got the usual spiel about
count 10 days from SL receive and then 3 months after that, blah blah...

don't know why they can't simply tell me what the status is of the visa.
