Yes, I hope so too. It is good to see faster processing by the State Dept. I was on the January tracker to see if anyone received their papers and was suprised to see that a lot of them started receiving their documents back by March end/early april.

Hopefully, we will start receiving our documents soon.

Still Procession

I called up the visa office and first the guy there wasnt ready to share any information later they did check it and just said its under processing ,and the visa hasnt been issued as yet ,
any idea what do they sort based on n stuff. why does it take more time for one person where as i think the web sites says its First Come first serve.

Did they tell you when they expect your visa to be processed? I can see that 3 people on the feb tracker have already recieved their visas so hopefully the rest of us should not be too far behind.

Finally the wait is over. I received my passport with stamp. Stamp was issued on 04/13, interestingly I called DOS on 04/14 and they told me that they receiced my passport on 03/05 and didnt tell me that its been stamped. I am from SR country Pakistan and it is first time revalidation for me from DOS. This forum has been great help. Wish all of you guys best of luck!!!!!

Does anyone know if we can pick up the PP in person from DC office after sending it by mail and it is ready to picked up. I live near DC so was thinking of picking it up in person after I send it.
 
I don't know if you can pick it up. There is nothing mentioned about picking up option for passports on the DOS website.

Besides, by the time it is ready to be picked up, it is also probably ready to be sent out by mail. So you are maybe saving 2-3 days by doing that. The bulk of the processing time (~3 months) is before the stamping is done, so you aren't saving a lot of time.

Hi Guys,

I am about to apply for revalidation and was reading some articles about the DS-156 form and it confused me a bit.

DS 156

Did you guys fill up the form online or did you just take a print out of the blank form and fill it out later?

The new article at murthy.com says that there is a change in the position on the bar coded forms and that it is preferred but not required.
