February 2004 - Visa Revalidation Tracking

now i am really worried, people sent the passport after me and before have received not me. couple of questions

is this address i sent is correct ?

I attached bankers cheque for my visa fee, is that ok ?

In the barcode field in my DS-156, it says 'BARCODE' no serial no, because i used the saved PDF file to fill up and took print out and sent. is that fine ?

Whenever I call DOS they are not ready to share information, they say it is not 12 weeks yet.

The date you guys gave here is what date ? my date is the date i sent courier.

My Case is still pending. SL Jan.29th - DC 12th - No Receipt of Passports. Recently they are not disclosing any information related to the Passports and Visa.

5 weeksback they told my visa approved and it is in print Q.

No UPS pickup or nothing on my way...

More worried.....

Yes, this is the same address that I sent to. If you used Fedex, then someone has to sign for the courier in order for it to be handed over to that person. So if it is a wrong address, most likely someone at the other end wouldn't take it and fedex would have to return it back to you. I am assuming same with UPS.

Another thing you can try is to find out if your bankers cheque has been encashed or not. I called my bank today to find this out (actually had to call a couple of times till I got an operator who understood what I was talking about). According to my bank, the cheque was cleared on the 23feb with my SLdate:18feb. You can use this as a reference point to check with your bank, if you have a photocopy of the cheque they will need the number to look it up.
 
ONe more clearcut news is ..
Once if you know some how your visa is approved and in the print Q aqnd you are not getting the passport back ..
Only one Clear solutions for this ..
**** Send a withdrawl notice*** ..They will send you back the passport ..So obviously you will passport stamped ..
This happens to my friends atleast for 5 guys..

Still in Print Q

Called DOS today and again the status is in Print Q. Does anyone have an idea how long does it take to clear from Print Q as i got the same status last week.

Also i have lost he FEDEX tracking number. Is there any way to find out the tracking number.
 
Arif you call fedex. Tell them the your address , destination address and the date you send your application. you request them to let you know the tracking number and you should get it.

Received my passport

This was my second revalidation through DOS, I filled it online and sent the barcoded forms, my company has not changed all these years. Its just a mystery to me why it was delayed so much. Anyway glad I got it today

Hi Folks,

Days of wait are at last over. Today I got my passport back with visa stamped!! Visa was stamped on April 29th and I got it back today on May 3rd. I did not use electronics bar-coded form. I used Feb2003 version with a space for barcode sticker.

BCIS does test the limits of your patience and in fact this seemed like forever. My best wishes to all the people who are still waiting to get their passport back and these wishes are from my heart because I know how it feels to wait forever to get your passports back.

At last (Last but one ?!)

Guys,

I received my passport with visa stamping today (also my spouse's). The visa was stamped on April 30th and received the passport on May 4th. Only thing is they made a mistake in my spouse's visa, they mis-spelled my long..... name.

This forum is great. I got lot of valuable information when i completed the applications (especially from Ginnu) for stamping. And this tracking is great.

Think only arif's stamping is pending. Let us all wish him to get his stamping done ASAP.

DS-156 barcoded form

Hey
How do you guys filled q.22 in the DS-156 barcoded.
22.when do you intend to arrive in the us.
how did you guys mentioned " i am already in usa.
after taking the print out did you handwriten on that or what ??

I think I must have entered that by hand "already in US". I will need to go home and check my ds156 photocopies.

I maybe posting this in the wrong thread but as u guys are successfully getting ur passports back , If anyone can take some time to answer my questions it would really help. It may sound that some of my questions are trivial but I am new tp process so please bear with me.

DS-156 questions

1) Q.29 & Q.30 : I have had F1, H1 visa issued before. Do I need to write most recent date or all of them. Also in Q.20 it asks for how long have u been in US. What do we have to write there.Day since F1 or H1. Do we have to write it in date format or like e.g. 2 years. I am planning to use the electronic version.

2) For questions that are not applicable like for e.g. Q.8 and Q.9 , do we have to write NONE OR NIL OR NOT APPLICABLE.

3) In Q.10, the format they have given is dd-mmm-yyyy(05-May-2004) but in the instructions they say a different format. Which one should we follow.

1) Q8. I beleive this is our H1 sponsor companys address.
2) Q.9. Do we need to mention US also in this or the taking US as base , then mentioning the countries we visited from US since we already are in US. Also i have visited India multiple times . Can I write the years on same line.

3) Q.12 one of my employers that I was working for have shutdown the company. So what address and phone number should I provide.

4) Q.13 This does not mean we have to write our employers name. correct??

Lastly my previous H1 was stampled from canada. Will that affect the revalidation process. Also would cashiers check of combined 150 (reciprocity fee included) work?

For Q 29 u need to give the date when u last entered US and in FOR HOW LONG you can write 2 yrs
For Q 30 u can give the last visa stamped details on ur passport.

U can write N/A or Not Applicable. If the electronic version does not allow you then u can take a print out and write it.

Just select the date and once u print it will be formated according. Since it is DOS site u need not worry.

3) Q24, Q28 Q.34
Q 24 - Give ur home Address
Q 28 - Ur company's details
Q 34 - If u have wife and kid then their details and for ur wife ur details

DS157 Questions

Provide details of the employer which can be verfied.

Yes. U have to give the names of other organizations u are involved in.

That should not be a problem. U can give a combined check
