Eoir 42b visa availability for fly 2023

I don’t think that’s correct considering USCIS only gives out 4,000 42b visas each year for the entire country. Everyone is subject to the wait times/visa limits.its 2-3 years for everyone no matter which state you live in. I’ve been waiting since 9/2021.
California and Florida are one of the states with the longest delay in approving cases.

We have to understand that before, many people did not apply for this resource because they were afraid of being deported even if they qualified. Today people are better informed and the number of applications has multiplied and the pandemic came along and made the problem even worse, hence the reason for such a long wait! I've been waiting for almost two years and I live in Massachusetts, I believe something will come out for me next year, with faith in God. Good luck to all of you.

Maybe so but tbh I don’t think the state matters much , the thing that does matter is whatever court is handling your case- their caseload and amount of immigration judges there bc I’m in Houston and it’s the busiest immigration court in Texas and that plays a role in the wait time as well. But I don’t think some states are “faster” than others , it just depends on the court that is assigned to your case.

Also the millions of people “claiming asylum” at the border doesn’t help matters either since they technically get first priority even though they just arrived here which tbh isn’t fair to those who have been here for decades and waiting two plus years for the paperwork to be processed .

Honestly, I think it's not just 4000, I think 4000 is the minimum and unused visas from other processes are also used in these cases, which we are included in.

So we are looking around 2025 ?
My wife was told by the judge it will take 18-24 months but the lawyer was like “nah! It is taking less than that” this was in Illinois (Chicago court) the whole process took years quick story if you willing to read…

ICE was looking for my father in law (i think he used fake documents) anyways …. Immigration came to their house he wasn’t there but my wife and an older brother were home ….brother in law was taken and they left my wife bit they started a process against her… she went to court and the judge told her she was a good candidate for DACA …. And gave her an extension until 2020 …,then covid happened and she got her final court july 2022… the whole ordeal took 11 years so i guess waiting a couple more is not a big deal…. Im sure a lot of ppl can relate to the struggle ….

Ohh , I hope so , and I have one more question!!
My work permit expired in December , should I renew it?
If you don’t need work permit, you can wait for 5-6 month
Hopefully you will get it.
I’m also 05/21 approval. My work permit expires 06/24. I won’t renew it :))

I don’t think so, you will expend money and unfortunately will take to long to have it. I believe if you do that when your EAD card arrive you will alrehave you green card. Now they are take 16 months to process the EAD
