In term of DV, they are banned.what does it mean for those on partial ban ?
1. If it's not in English you need a translation. The consulate that your going to apply at should have the requirements for attestation of translations on their website. You can usually get them translated in the country your applying in but check your specific location. In my case the Hong Kong consultate had a list of translation services suggested as well as what they needed to attest. I got a Vietnamese document translated into English in Hong Kong.Hello Everyone,
My wife is a dv2026 winner. Recently we moved to another country and we updated our address.
I assume that kcc will assign our case to the embassy of coutry of residence.
1- we are confused about preparing documents. Do we translate them in our country of nationality ? Do we need to certify the papers ?
Thank you.

Hello. Is consular processing still open?

...and existing visas (like our un-activated one) are still valid...?Diversity Visa Issuance Updated Guidance

tl;dr DV issuances paused, but processing continues (they'll schedule new interviews normally).
...and existing visas (like our un-activated one) are still valid...?
They don't say anything about that, but they say "pause issuance". If you have a visa in your passport, that'd suggest you're good.
I'm blind. They say it loud and clear:
Does this affect my current valid visa?
No diversity or other visas have been revoked as part of this guidance.
Update: considering the recent pause we decided to hold the marriage until things clears out. We'll be marrying using the Utah zoom anyway and plan on actual big ceremony in the future.Hi everyone, I submitted my DS-260 back in May 2025 because I wasn't familiar with the process. I have an high case number in Asia (2026AS22xxx) but due to the recent travel ban taking place, it now seems very likely my case number will go current as soon as March or April.
I'm planning on marrying my girlfriend of 4 years soon, I already asked KCC to unlock my DS-260 so I can add her right after marriage. So now my DS-260 is open, and my question is as follows:
I know it is advisable to get married asap to avoid any issues, but given we don't want to rush it but still get married as early as January or February. In case my case number goes current in that time, will that be an issue? Or as long as I don't re-submit the DS-260 my case is put into an halt?
I've asked britsimon on his website and he replied that scheduling does not stop. could I get a little bit more information on that?
If I won't submit the DS-260 with her as a spouse before I get the 2NL, do I run the risk of getting an interview with my old DS-260 where I'm considered single?
What would be the best plan here? I'm holding my head because I realized how dumb it was to submit the DS-260 that early, I could've avoided all of that if I just submitted the DS-260 the first time after getting married without any stress of timing because Feb-Mar is still very early...

Now the question is, what would be the best approach, considering this pause might only be temporary. Am I better to continue with the original plan or is it better to wait and not resubmit the unlocked ds-260 as of now, As it could delay my 2NL (might be better than 221(g) idk)
We are from Israel so civil marriage isn't even allowed here (other than religious marriage) so I know a lot of Israeli couples are using Utah Zoom marriages for these purposes and that it works without a problem for them. Also my relationship is bona fide, we're dating for more than 4 years so even if it creates question I think I could give valid answers. There aren't a lot of other options for civil marriage here.1. You are already current, so DO NOT resubmit the ds260. Once resubmitted, they won't allow further unlocking.
2. I don't understand why you are delaying the marriage. Get it done ASAP.
3. I would not advise the Utah zoom method. It will create questions. Why not just marry now.

As for why we're delaying the marriage, because we don't want to do things in a rush when we know it's not even certain this lottery will continue.
I know this isn't ideal but this is my situation at the moment unfortunately
I came here to consult because its now seem less likely that this pause will be for the entirety of the fiscal year and I'm current...
Can you not pop over to Cyprus as the usual option for Israelis wanting a civil marriage? There aren't a lot of other options for civil marriage here.
I mean we aren't planning an actual ceremony with invitees, do you think it would cause an issue with the officer at the consulate? Can you not pop over to Cyprus as the usual option for Israelis wanting a civil marriage?
