DV 2026 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Hi all,
I'm a dv2026 winner. My number is AS16XXX, which is current in February.
I'm now in the US with the F1 visa. I decided to do CP because I thought I have a bigger number and the embassy performance is good in my country. But now I'm still waiting for the 2NL.

My question is, if I were able to be interviewed in my country, would my existing F1 visa (valid through 2028) be revoked when doing the interview for DV? Due to the pause, I understand I might be placed in 211g. If in this case, will my F1 visa still be usable to enter the US while waiting for the pause to be lifted?

I understand I should consider AOS, but I wanna clarify things before making decision.

Thank you!
Yes the visa could be revoked at the end of the DV interview due to your demonstrated immigrant intent. If for some reason it does not immediately get revoked after being placed on 221g administrative processing, you could be denied admission at the POE due to the declared immigrant intent since F1 requires you to not have an immigrant intent.

I went through my DV lottery interview today in the London Embassy and was given a big green form with the 221G ticked and denied ticked

This was a very short underwhelming interview that lasted about 3 minutes and cost $330pp.

Swore the oath with my right hand up.
Asked what my highest level of education was 2:1 engineering degree.

He then said "ok we have all the documents we need, do you know about the pause"

I answered yes

He returned all of our documents and said we will be in touch with the 221G form.

That was it....

Pretty underwhelming but I guess that's the best we can do in this situation?

Hi BRITLuke,

Thanks for the update.

Wish I was able to congratulate you on your visa approval. Did they keep your passport or was this also returned?

Hoping the pause is lifted very soon and you can book your flight. Wishing you an anxiety free time until the pause is lifted

No they gave back the passport, I assume when this all blows over they will ask for the passport and we can book flights.

I was there this morning too - maybe my interview was a little bit after yours - but it went exactly the same way. The interviewer asked just two questions (education and what I currently do) before he asked if I knew about the pause, and then handed me the green slip.

And now we wait...

Did anyone see this ????? I can't post the link unfortunately.
There's not much to see there even if you could. Immigration lawsuits' documents are protected and can't be downloaded from PACER. Anyway, for those interested it's Hacking's lawsuit challenging travel ban for people already in US. Not sure if it's a proper thread for it (AOS would be better). Also not sure if that's a class action or only fighting for plaintiffs relief (in that case it doesn't belong anywhere really). Hacking is also not a lawyer I'd bet on, but we will see...

Update: I watched his promo video. He wants to vacate USCIS pause due to the ban, so in theory if that was successful, it would affect everybody doing AOS.

Looks like Curtis Morrison is building interest to challenge the pause ? You can register your interest on his website red eagle law ...
