DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

My case (EU229xx) will become current in September, but I submitted with early filing. Today (08/05/2025), I completed the biometrics appointment, and my USCIS account was updated with the following message: fingerprints have been applied to your case
I have a few questions:
1. Is the interview notice sent after the NOA or after the biometrics appointment?
2. When should I expect to receive the interview notice?
3. Can they interview me in August even if the green card needs to be release in September?
4. If I receive a waiver for the interview, will I be notified by mail or how?

(I updated my case in the timeline spreadsheet)

Thanks!
What is your username on the Timeline spreadsheet? Ideally, it should match the forum username for easy reference.

1. It could be sent at any time.
2. No one here can 100% predict that. However, it may be possible to hazard a guess if your FO is known. This is why we ask everyone to update the Timeline spreadsheet with their data, as this will enable you to compare your progress with a similar case from your FO.
3. Slightly possible.
4. You will see a CPO status update on your online account.

Sorry, I had a different name in the spreadsheet, but I fixed it and added my FO also. My FO is Detroit, MI. Any thoughts about that? thanks!

No worries. Now, you can make the comparison yourself. Take a look at the Timeline spreadsheet to see if there are other cases from your FO listed, this will give you an idea of if your FO tends to waive the interview; or how long on average it may take for your to get your IL - note since we are approaching the end of the FY, the wait time for your FO could be considerably shorter compared to similar cases from earlier in the FY.

Hi Mom,

My high school transcript contains results for grade 10th to 12th. It also clearly states that I completed the basic education (higher secondary level) and the graduation date. I also submit my doctorate degree diploma.
1. Is this good enough? I don't have my high school diploma with me.
2. High school in my country is from grade 10th to 12th while it's from grade 9th to 12th in the U.S. Will this be a problem?

Thanks so much!

1. We’ve had reports of a few cases in the past where the IO had requested to see the HS Diploma.
2. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Thanks so much for the information!
Do you happen to recall if they also have other advance degrees when the IO requested to see their HS diploma?

Hello, I know this is an unusual question, but for the interview is it also necessary to have my parents’ birth certificates?
May be required if you're cross charging to your parents' country of birth because your country of birth is not eligible.

Hi! My case number became current this month, and I know it might be a little early to ask this, but I’ve noticed that in previous years, most “interview waived” applicants (both in my FO and nationwide) were in the F-1 category.

My case has been sitting at “Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken” for a bit over two weeks now. Is it possible for USCIS to waive the interview and go straight to “Card Production Ordered”, or is there usually some kind of intermediate status update before that happens?

Filing from F1 status has no bearing on if the interview gets waived on that - this is all dependent on the FO's processing practice. Which is why I earlier asked you to review the processing precedents for your specific FO.

Hello,

Form I-485 instruction:

Does "a paper version of an electronic Form I-94" mean the I-94 that I print from their website or they have to send it to me by mail?

Sorry for asking so many questions. I don't have much time so I want to get it right from the first try. Thank you.

Hey @Sm1smom, just got NOA SMS for AOS lockbox acceptance.

I can start adding myself to the timeline sheet and updating. How do you give me access? What info do you need from me?
You need to send an access request from the timeline spreadsheet. Click the Green View Only dropdown at the top of the spreadsheet, and follow the prompt.

Hello,
Just mailed my AOS package. I still have some concerns:

1. I submitted my high school transcript with translation + my doctorate degree diploma. But I'm not sure if they will ask for my HS diploma, so I also submitted hire letters for 2 years of a job in zone 5. Do you think this will help?
2. My J-1 was subjected to 2-year residence requirement based on the skill list. However, my country was removed from the list in the latest announcement. So, I submitted my DS-2019 along with this announcement. Do you think this will be enough? Will they still ask to see the waiver? If so, how to best prepare for this?

I would really appreciate any input.

1. There’s an expectation for an applicant to be able to produce the original version of any document included in their AOS package. You’ll just have to wait and see at this point.
2. I have no idea. Another wait and see.

So just reading through the spreadsheet I see someone like AnnaAZ talking about how they talked to the virtual agent about if their biometrics has been scheduled and that they actually do this before they even receive the physical NOA.

How soon should we wait to ask the virtual agent about that after we receive the receipt SMS?

Thanks, I've inserted mine around the same place as other EU19k, hope that's ok.
