DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hi Mom,
There is an experience about refiling due to early filing denial in 2024 spreadsheet. The case was reopened after a while. Did they filed i-290b or the reopening was due to another reason?

Does the 2024 translated version have a certified signed statement attesting to the translator's fluency in both English and your language? If it does, you can still use it, otherwise you need to get a new translation with the certified statement.
Here is what the seal looks like on my translated high school diploma. The company is in my home country. But it does not have the exact wording I you mentioned. Is it okay? Or could you please recommend a translator?

Also, can I put my mailing address in the form I-693, medical exam? It's the best address for me to receive mails.
Thanks so much!

1. I guess you could use it, if you have the original translated version and not just the photocopy.
2. The form asks for physical, and not mailing address.

Thanks so much for the info!
I only have a PDF file of the translated document that the translator sent me, no physical copy. Will that be a problem?

Hi,
when using a form I-134 for financial support from a sponsor. Do I need 2 forms if I am also including some of my financial documentation to support my case?

I’m not sure what you mean by if you need 2 forms. Only one form from a sponsor who meets the applicable financial requirements is required.

Hi Mom and everyone, I’d like to ask for your advice on a situation we’re facing.

My spouse is currently doing an internship at a company with an annual salary of $90K. Initially, the internship was supposed to last for 3 months, ending around late September or early/mid October. Based on that, we had reported the income as $50K, assuming only a partial-year duration.

However, things have changed — the company is very happy with her performance, and now she’s scheduled to have a meeting with the VP near the end of the internship. There’s a strong possibility that she will be offered a full-time position, meaning the total income could exceed $90K.

My question is: how should we mention this during the interview process (e.g., for immigration or program consideration)? Since the income is technically still not finalized, we’re unsure whether we should proactively bring it up or wait for them to ask. We don’t want to seem misleading, but also don’t want to over-explain something that’s still in progress.

Any advice on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi mom, just to double check, if the original graduation diploma issued by the university is in both English and in our native language, then there is no need to have it translated right?

Mention it only if asked. Since there’s no documentation to back this up, it is not information that would be taken into consideration if proactively provided.

p.s. add your case details to the Timeline spreadsheet.

A fully translated version is required.
I see thank you so much Mom! I missed that point! The documents looks like this below: I noticed in some forums that people translate documents themselves and sign them as if they are fluent. Does this work, or should it be done by a certified translator?

Translating yourself or by yourself spouse is not something I would recommend since you directly stand to benefit from the immigration application. However, it is okay for a friend or an acquaintance who is fluent in both English and the language the document is being translated from to translate and attach the certified statement to the translation.

Hi mom,

I have a question about the background check. I went to the interview and the officer said my background check is pending. So he has to wait until it gets approved. I worry about time and deadline. Is it normal process? Now it is 5 days after the interview.

I’ve asked you like three different times or so to add your case data to the 2025 Timeline spreadsheet which you still haven’t done. That makes me unwilling to keep answering your questions, this forum thrives when members contribute whatever quota they can in order to help others also.

Hi Mom,
For the new AOS package, I have included the notices of actions (I-797C) that I received. Should I include the denial letter as well?
