DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Sorry to learn of your father's illness. Your interview is already expedited though considering when you filed. Anyway, you can try request an earlier interview date/time slot, no guarantee the request would be honored. They may ask you to reschedule for a later date. Do keep us updated.
Thank you for your response. Can I walk in and request to explain the situation, and ask for an earlier interview time?

We filed on April 28. The interview is scheduled for July 22. But due to an emergency, (my father's illness) I need to leave by July 8.
I’m sorry to hear about your father’s illness, however you may find that they don’t consider it an emergency if your “must leave” date is almost a month away.

If they postpone the interview until after you get back, do you have AP or are you on an H or L visa?

Thank you! I understand it may not appear to be an emergency, but I have already postponed my flight twice and relied on friends to assist my family during this time. I didn't apply for the AP and I am under F2 visa.

Also bear in mind, if they agree to an earlier interview, your application will actually need to be approved before you travel out of the US or your case will be considered abandoned since you do not have an approved AP, and there's no guarantee as to how long the approval process could subsequently take.

So you are aware that if the interview is postponed till after and you leave, you will be deemed to have abandoned your AOS application? You may want to apply for expedited AP as a backup in case your interview is postponed rather than brought forward and you have to leave before it can be held. Be aware of the implications of re-entering on AP.

Hello. I know this might be a silly question but in AOS package, which forms should we sign specifically? I am not going to file employment authorization, travel documents, or affidavit forms. I will only add i-485 with my financial documents, diploma copies, etc.

As far as I check everything in the package one by one, I have to sign i-485 (only the applicant's signature and additional details pages), i-693, and personal check. Other than these three, should I put my signature somewhere like G-1145 form or any other document?

Maybe someone who already filed the AOS package may answer my question. Thank you!

Hello,
In my I-485, My date of birth was wrong. I just noticed today after I received receipt notice.
1. What should I do? how can I correct it?
2. Would it lead to denied my application?
3. I received Biometric schedule for 06/24/2025, Can I show up early day or can I reschedule for early date?

When I asked EMMA about my bio schedule because I received notice but I do not see any history on my uscis account. First, she said they have not scheduled me for bio yet. but when I said, I received notice, then she told me the schedule time and date. Current date is 06/24/2025
After that, when I asked about reschedule, she mentioned this.
1. is it true?
2. I noticed that most of the winners rescheduled the earlier date. Should I reschedule?
3. What if they give a later date than scheduled one, Can I go walk in?

You may be able to use the USCIS’s typographical error e-service to address this. In the past I’ve often recommended to folks to make the correction when they go for their interview since trying to correct such an error prior to the interview has always been such a hassle.

Take a look at the FAQ tab of the AOS Process spreadsheet for instructions on how to reschedule the bio appointment to an earlier date.

Are you sure you spoke with a Tier 2 officer and not the frontline personnel? How did you get connected to a Tier 2 officer?

Send access request from the spreadsheet

I am not sure. I read some reddit post saying Tier 2 officer can fix DOB mistake. I called USCIS and I said I wanna talk with Tier 2 officer. I dont remember officer ID number, and name. After I explained my issue, she asked me some questions and asked the correct DOB. After that, she said she already fixed it.
How can i know if it's already fixed or not?
Sure, I will request later today.

Doubtful you spoke with a Tier 2 officer as they are not readily available and typically do not pick up calls, frontline agents do that and subsequently connect callers to a Tier 2 agent, or take down their details and get the Tier 2 agent to call back. Anyway if the issue got fixed, that’s good.

Now that USCIS has lifted the administrative pause for people entering the US on humanitarian parole,

What can I do to get USCIS to take my case as soon as possible? Considering that I submitted my application almost 7 months ago and haven't received any updates since the biometrics appointment.

Can someone help me? I’m F1 student during OPT filed AOS on April 8th. On april 30th, I got RFE to provide all records from my school for all time. I replied back on May 12 (sent it by FedEx with tracking which says it was delivered and signed by EERIC).
Address was
USCIS
15 New Sudbury Street,
John F. Kennedy Foderal Building, Govemment,
Center, Room E-190B
Boston, MA

Biometrics was done on May 14.
However there was no status update regarding the response to RFE. Currently only status of fingerprints taken.

Emma chat says wait 60 days.
Is this normal that status of RFE response received is not updated more than month?

How long does it usually take after status of RFE response received to Green card decision?

You can try visit your FO as a walk to see if you can talk to someone about your case mind - mind you, there’s no guarantee the security guards would allow you in without an appointment. You can also initiate a congressional case inquiry - a case inquiry request from your congress person’s office can help bump your case back to the attention of the IO in charge of it.

p.s. can you add your case details to the 2025 Timeline Spreadsheet? Other AOSers could benefit from you also.

1. Yes, it is quite normal to not see any update online following RFE response receipt.
2. Hard to say. It depends on your assigned IO’s workload.

p.s. can you add your case details to the 2025 Timeline Spreadsheet? You’ll be able to compare your case progress with similar case data, and other AOSers could benefit from you also.

yes, At first, I was also suspicious and could not believe tier 2 offficer picked up my phone. However, I just double check with EMMA, and they confirmed it fixed. My case is still in NBC.
Today, I just finished bio appointment with a reschedule ealier date. But in USCIS portal, it only show case was received. I received bio schedule paperwork on June 10.
1. How long does it take to reflect on USCIS portal?
2. How long does they take to send to FO?
