Mom , why ? I cannot have two immigration status but since Asylum pending is not status , having TPS status won’t be considered as having dual status and it won’t affect my AOS . Would it ? Please enlighten me
good luck make sure to Digest mom's and other resources on this forum before it is too late

Hello,

I sent my RFE response 14 days ago and did not hear back.

Agent on the phone says that it does not show up on their end.

What should I do? If I wait 60 days as they suggest and it was actually misdelivered/misplaced, I will be out of the timeframe to respond.

Considering you were asking about how to send in the RFE response back on Nov. 25th, and you were told to wait for the mailed version which would include the information you were seeking, when did you receive the mailed RFE and precisely when did you mail back your response.

Assuming you mailed back the response on Nov. 25th, you do realize there were two public holidays, and four weekend days between Nov. 25th and today, Dec. 9th for you to be stressing about not hearing back, considering today is barely past noon as a matter of fact?

Anyway, to directly answer your question: if you were able to track the package and have proof of delivery, then that’s all you need to demonstrate compliance as required, in the unlikely event they misplaced the response.

It is not unusual to not receive any update for quite a while after a RFE response gets sent, in addition it can take much longer during the holiday season, so more patience is required.

1. I don't recall the exact dates but I responded on the 25th and had the mailed RFE in hand the week before.

2. I do understand its holiday season, how would this impact USCIS? Are a lot of people commonly taking off?

3. Regarding the proof of delivery: I sent with USPS Pirority Express, signature waived (no signature), delivered in/at mailbox according to tracking. Address is a FO and not a PO box. Is this sufficient as proof?

4. Also, would it be of any harm to send a second copy this week?

Thanksgiving is THE biggest family holiday in the US. While I believe USCIS offices are technically open the Friday after thanksgiving, expect the vast majority of employees to have taken the day off (if not the whole week, which is a holiday week for almost all K-12 schools nationwide).

hello AOS Brothers and Sisters

My bio was first scheduled for 10/28/2024 of which I gave on 10/28/2024 . 2nd bio for 11/21/2024 then I rescheduled and gave on 11/14/2024 . I am confused which one to put on the google sheet timeline for column header of Bio Scheduled Date and bio Date so as to not mislead future applicants

2. "a lot of people" would be in relation to what you understand to be the number of people working at your specific FO, right? Bottom line, it is a common/known fact that the workforce for most organizations gets depleted during the holiday season. Plus it's not like the IOs immediately jump on response to RFEs upon receipt, even outside of the holiday season. They get to them based on their work schedule prioritization.

3. Yes, RFEs typically gets sent to the FO, since that is where the requesting IO is based. Provided you followed the RFE instruction for sending in the response, and your USPS tracker shows it was delivered at the listed address on the RFE, I don't see an issue. Just make sure you keep your record.

4. You can if you like.

You can use either the first set of dates or the second. You however should not mix them up like you currently did on the Timeline spreadsheet. Bio reschedule/walk-in date is usually earlier than the scheduled date. What you currently have there is misleading because your scheduled date is listed as earlier than the rescheduled/walk-in date. Either stick with 10/28, with no rescheduled/walk-in date; or 11/21 and 11/14 as the rescheduled/walk-in date.

Hi mom, as someone with CN AS89xx experiencing slow progression of this VB, does this seem typical? Are the numbers in the usual range based on your past experience, or is it unusual?

thank you.....

the calculation for

(Interview Date - Bio Date (Days) )

and

(Acceptance Notification (NOA) - Bio Notice Received (Days) )

was what was bothering me . I wanted to make sure future applicants understand the reality. I will just take 11/21 and 11/14 and leave a remark about what really happened.
