DV 2025 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend was selected for the Diversity Visa program on May 4th last year.
She has been scheduled for an interview on July 28th. We are not married yet, but we have been in a committed relationship for 3 years. We have already traveled together to the U.S. twice as tourists and have extensive evidence that our relationship is genuine.

We are now considering getting married so that I can be included in her DV case and attend the interview with her. Is this still possible at this stage?

However, we are facing a problem: she is currently unable to log in to her case at the official website.
So even if we get married now, we can't access her case online, what should we do?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
If her interview is scheduled her case has been sent to the embassy/consulate where she will be interviewing so that’s why she can’t access it. She will need to contact them to unlock her DS260 to add you. Yes,it is very late in the game to decide this as you need to first be married, added to the case (which means you’ll need to have marriage certificates - some countries have a delay in getting official ones after the wedding), and also get your medical (usually need official interview appointment in your name for that) and civil documents done. I suggest she call the consulate and ask them if it’s feasible to do all this in that short time. Very highly dependent on the consulate, they may be amenable to rescheduling to fit this in - or they may not.

I do it on only Fridays, most of the time. 2nlDate is just an approximation in that sense.
Hey, so I see that you had a new update today, and now Dublin is suddenly showing that they did in fact send 2NLs in June. Could that be a mistake? It wasn't showing that until just this update.

Did you get an interview date yet? Did Dublin ever respond to you?

No, they didn't reply either. However it looks like according to two datasources, Xarthisius's website and this website:

They took two cases, one from Asia and one from Africa. The one from Asia was ready to interview in June and the one from Africa was ready to interview in August. I wonder what this means? Could it mean I'm next up? Maybe my status will change very shortly?

No, it's not a mistake.
But where's it getting that info from? It's when it goes from NVC to anything else right? Even on that gist I posted by another person who scans the CEAC data and keeps track of it, those cases went from NVC -> ready in Dublin just this week. So where are you getting the 2NL being sent in June from?

Their status changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit" on 06/13. At this point we only knew it was a 2nl. On 07/11 their status changed from "In Transit" to "Ready". Only then we know how many derivatives and the post assignment.

Ah ok, that makes sense. So you're aware of the 2NL roughly around the time it happens after the VB but you can't see which embassy they're assigned to or their derivatives until that status change to ready which could be a while later.

Well I guess either way it's good news that Dublin did send 2NLs in June? Hopefully this week I'll get my 2NL since I must be next in line or only a case or two away.

Anyways thanks for explaining, as a software engineer I was curious about the details.

Hello, I'm a DV green card holder and need advice on re-entry. Here's my situation:
  • I initially entered the US few month ago with my immigrant visa
  • I went back to my home country temporarily
  • My green card was lost during the international transfer/move
  • My passport still has the original immigrant visa stamp from my first entry
  • The stamp is less than 1 year old from the date of my initial admission
My question:Can I use this stamped visa to re-enter the US, or do I need other documentation (like boarding foil)?

You can use the stamped visa. Make sure you apply for a replacement green card as soon as possible, I have seen mentions online that it os taking really long to get replacements.

Note: some airlines /airline personnel are not familiar with the stamped visa - so give yourself extra time at the airport in case you need to take it up the line. we have seen a few cases over the years of people missing or even denied boarding to their flights for this reason. Worst case insist the airline call their CBP liaison.

Are you talking about DV25? May 2024 or 2025? 2025AF57599 doesn't exist.

First, you should anonymize your case number the way I have in bold in the quote.
Second, assuming you are DV2026, no-one is current yet as the fiscal year only starts in October, and Africa is only current up to 17500 for October. https://travel.state.gov/content/tr...in/2025/visa-bulletin-for-september-2025.html .You will need to check the visa bulletin each month to see when your number will be current. It is based on case number, not when you submitted your DS260. It is updated on the main visa bulletin page at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html You may want to also look at the britsimonsays website for some further explanations of how the consular processing process works.

Hello, is it normal that the DV 2026 cut-off is still at 17,500? Because I'm in Africa and my case number is around 57,000 and it hasn't changed since.
