DV 2025 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Thank you for your response. I will then explain at the interview that the children will immigrating on latter date to join me by filing a family petition.
And yes I understand that applying for children as relative will be little bit complicate.

So seems you’re ok with waiting 3+ years after filing, having to file an I864 with proof of sufficient income and paying approx $1000 per derivative for filing + interview fees. In that case yes just tell them at the interview.

Sounds much complicated that I thought. I will think about it. Thank you very much for your point of view.

Hello dear all , with a CN AF4000 and DS filed in May is it normal to still not receive a second letter? I am writing to you from Dakar - Senegal

I have a consular interview coming up in January.

I am born in Syria and a national of it, but never lived there. Never 6 months continuously. I visited a few times for a month each visit when I was a child. Last time I visited for a month was when I was 12. Do I need PCC from Syria? It is very hard to obtain if not impossible as I reside outside Syria and again, I visited one month every year from ages 0-12. I had this discussion with Simon lol but tbh, the language here is pretty scary. Never 6 months continuously.

Applicants who fall into any category listed in italics below must bring these additional documents:

If you are older than 16 years of age: All applicants older than 16 must present an original, valid, unexpired police certificate for:

  • Their country of current residence if they have lived there for at least 6 months;
  • Their country of nationality if they have lived there for at least 6 months at any time; and
  • Any other countries they lived in for at least 12 months since turning 16 years old.

    Appreciate your help folks!

Seems pretty clear to me. You never lived there. Visiting at various times adding up to 6 months is not the same thing.

I wouldn’t even stress about even if I lived there for a cumulative six months or more as a child in the past considering what the reciprocity page says in terms of PCC non-availability to applicants living outside the county:

Available: Available to Syrian citizens residing in Syria, but may be unavailable to citizens living outside the country.

Thank you guys so much. I think I got all the jabs and documents I need. I scheduled the medical exam a month ahead of the interview to account for the holidays. This is where I let things go and swallow a chill pill. Your contributions are highly appreciated.

Hello,
I am a Diversity Visa Lottery selectee for the DV-2025 program. My case number falls within the current range according to the Visa Bulletin, and I submitted my DS-260 form on May 27, 2024. However, I have not yet received the second notification letter (2NL) regarding my interview appointment.
Is it normal for there to be a delay in receiving the 2NL after a case number becomes current and especially as I submitted I my DS-260 in May? If not, what steps should I take to follow up with the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) or ensure my case progresses?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions on this matter.

Hello Sir/ Madam,

However, I have not yet received the second notification letter (2NL) regarding my interview appointment. I have asked KCC for any updates and they said "Your case number is now current for interview processing."
Is it okay for there to be a delay in receiving the 2NL after a case number becomes current ?

According to the just- released bulletin or an earlier one? Which consulate are you interviewing at?

Accra is notorious for not giving enough capacity for DV. For the past 2 years they've been only inviting 20-30 cases per month, which is way below the pace required to keep up with VB cutoff.
How are you able to check the number of people they invite per month

Dear Xarthisius,
Thank you for sharing the information regarding previous Accra’s processing capacity for DV cases and how to track interview invitations using the CEAC status check. Your insights have been very helpful and much appreciated.
I was wondering if you could kindly share more about how you’ve been able to track the number of people invited per month. Did you use any programmatic automation tools or resources to gather this data efficiently? If so, could you please point me in the direction of any scripts, tools, or techniques that could help me get started?
Your guidance would be invaluable as I explore this process further. Thank you again for your time and assistance!
