A LPR is not eligible to sponsor their parents for a GC, so sponsoring you shouldn’t be a problem if this sponsor’s income meets the applicable poverty guidelines threshold for both his and your household combined together.
Sorry. He's no longer a LPR, he just got his citizenship. Thanks for the reply.

Hello, I'm completing my I-134 form, and I have a sponsor who isn't related to me or my family. He's a family friend whom I know through my father. Would this pose any issues if he sponsors me? Will USCIS inquire about the relationship details and conduct thorough checks on that?

Ok. The response is still the same more or less. If his annual income meets the PG threshold to cover his household + plus your household + his parents, he act as your sponsor.

Not an issue.

Hi everyone,
I have a question: How long did it take for your case to transfer from the NBC to the field office? Your answers would be greatly appreciated.

Hı again mom,@Sm1smom Form I 485 Part 2 Information about ımmigration category is not applicable to DV based Aos applications.I will leave that part blank for derivative applicants.Did I understand this right from your previous answers ?

Just a general info, so someone on here chose No to the public charge question, he just got his interview done yesterday and his selection didn’t cause any problems. His application was approved.

You should mark sections that are not applicable as either N/A or None (as applicable) and not leave them blank.

Hello, my spouse and I were F-1 students and we won a green card through the DV lottery. We applied for both I-485 (adjustment of status) and I-765 (work authorization). My work permit was approved on April 11, but my spouse is still waiting. The issue is, on February 6, 2024, they requested an RFE (Request for Evidence) for updated marriage proofs, evidence of physical attendance at schools, and transcripts. We submitted our response to the RFE on March 21, but there is still no reply. We are concerned because there is a deadline for the DV lottery winners; we need to have received our cards by October this year. Additionally, when we check the USCIS case tracker, USCIS, and Lawfully, there is no mention of the RFE; it only shows that our biometrics were taken. Is anyone else in the same situation?
