DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hello Sm1smom,
I chatted with an agent via Emma just a moment ago. He said that my case was sent to National Benefit Center from Memphis Field office. When I asked why is that? He said "This is the way cases are handled. They change the office frequently".
Is this the bad signal? Any suggestions at this point of time? Is this something Annpa was talking about?
The agents tend to give that response a lot, it doesn't necessarily mean the information is true or correct. I think you can safely ignore it. And no, that is not the issue @Annpa is dealing with. Have you tried congressional case assistance?

I tried congressional inquiries three times. After first time in july, my case got transferred to vermont. Second time, i got the response same day saying that they are trying to work on the case as diligently as possible. I told the congressman that I dont have the case in Dallas field office, it's in vermont while during third inquiry. They still inquired with dallas field office and today when i followed back with them they said they have requested to transfer the inquiry to vermont service center. I reached out to another congresswomen and asked her to inquire with vermont. But still they are saying they havent got a response back from vermont yet.

I even called senator office and they said that USCIS is aware of the DV applicant and they wont do the inquiry.

Hello mom,
Yes I started the congressional inquiry on Monday.
And also when I talked with an agent some days ago and explained the time constraint of DV program, she said that she will initiate an expedited request on my behalf and I should get an email in a few days or they will adjudicate my case without emailing me in a few days.

My suggestion about congressional inquiry was not directed at you. I’m aware you already did that. It was directed at @mtb. Your name was only mentioned in my post to explain the response @mtb got with regards to their case being sent to NBC is not the same issue you’re dealing with. There are other underlying factors at play with your case.

Hi Mom,

First of all thanks for your answers, I would be lost without here and your help.

I received my interview letter at last. Next week, I will be having the interview. I am going to update the excel as well.

At the behind of the document, the office asked for attachments including my medical examination report I-693.

This is what they wrote word by word:

'' Form I-693 Medical Examination Report. The results must be submitted in the original envelope sealed by the medical office.''

I sent my sealed I-693 with my application months ago, should I get a new one just in case?

Hello I am a DV2023 Selectee from Turkey and my AOS application is currently under process. Due to erroneous mistake at a lockbox office where they didn`t accept the payment, I had to refile documents on July 20th. However, I had my biometrics done on August 30th and right after that, I have been scheduled for an interview for September 8th which is Friday.

How is the risk of visa numbers not being available during the time of my interview?

It must be a tough situation to be in, with the possiblity of visas running out looming over, but I would try to stop worrying about things that are not in our control. Rather, be adequately prepared for the interview and lets hope for the best!

Without seeing seeing the document you received or knowing what other documents were listed on it, it is hard for me to answer your question. I can’t tell, with the limited information written above, if your IL is a generic one or if it is specifically about your case and they indeed need a new medical report.

Thanks for the reply, I am sharing the page. Maybe it gives an opinion.

Yes, I shared my financial support evidence and 1NL in my AOS package.
Okay. That tells me your IL is a generic one. The sealed medical report request is not specific to your case, it is assuming it was not initially submitted. I believe you should be fine with just taking a copy of the submitted medical report (assuming it was correctly filled out) with you.

Mind if I ask what day of next week, you have been scheduled for?

Hello Everyone, I am an F1 student and a 2023 DV lottery winner. My case number is EU31xxx. I have already submitted my I-485 on 07/02/2023 and received NOA on 07/28/2023. I also gave my biometrics on 08/29/2023 early walk-in (the scheduled date was 09/06/2023). I have less than a month to the interview scheduled and approved. I am afraid that time is very limited and will not be enough. I have reached out to the senator and congressman, and they have sent an inquiry to USCIS on behalf of me. However, I am not sure if it will help to expedite my process or not. Could you share your opinions with me, please? I am counting the days and having less than 25 days

Can you add your case data to the 2023 Timeline spreadsheet? Doing so could enable us compare your timeline with those of other cases from your FO if already listed on the spreadsheet.

Thank you for sending the spreadsheet. But the link is not working, I can not reach out to that. My field office is San Antonio, Texas.
