DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Is there any other way to get Interview letter notification incase if USPS misplaces our email and it also doesnot show up in informed delivery?
Are you in a situation where USPS has lost your interview notification letter?

Congratulations. Happy Birthday and thanks for the update. Yeah, precisely why I keep telling folks to be patient, you now have to contact your congressman’s office to let them know you no longer need their assistance.
Thank you so much. They already responded to my email today, I replied and thanked them and explained about my case approval.

USPS has been misplacing many other documents, so I am just worried if they misplace my interview letter.
The mail would have needed to have shown up on your Informed Delivery though in order for you to know USPS misplaced your mail. So if that hasn’t happened, I don’t think you can assume USPS misplaced your IL.

If your Informed Delivery shows there’s a USCIS correspondence coming to you and the mail never shows up, you take that information to your FO for a walk-in attempt to get a replacement IL.

Are you listed on the Timeline spreadsheet?

Yes i am in the timeline spreadsheet. My concern is because I just received
"A piece of mail that we do not have an image for is included in today's mail" notice in my informed delivery. And then, nothing got delivered. Will live agents know if our interviews has been scheduled by FO?

Go to the appointment fully prepared for the possibility of having an interview on the spot. In terms of how to talk about your case, I think you already have an idea of what to do based on how you succeeded in getting a Tier 2 agent to schedule an INFOPASS appointment for you. If you do get the opportunity to speak with the IO in charge of your case, you can request to know if your background check has cleared, and if your KCC file has been received. If they positively to both questions, ask to know what could be responsible for the delay you’re experiencing.
Thank you for your response. I will go fully prepared and will update on Monday. Thank you!!

Which line? Are you under a different username?

I also use Informed Delivery. That update wouldn’t be for a USCIS correspondence, it’s usually for some sort of junk mail.

USCIS Recently Launched Online Appointment Request Service
Hi mom,
I am still waiting for my interview appointment, I was reading about this new service, is this like an Infopass appointment? Do you think we can request an appointment with our field office through this method? If so, under which category do you think we could fit?
Thanks

1. Yes, it is like INFOPASS.
2. I don’t know if you can or not. You can give it a try.

Hi mom,
I did not add form EAD and advance parole as I am a student as this time, don't want to work at this moment and don't desire to travel during this time.
Is there a chance that they ask for these documents as an RFF? in lawfully app, it says that the next notice most likely be related to these,
why it says this?

Those are optional applications, no one gets a RFE for not applying for them. Lawfully is not an app I personally approve of, it is not a USCIS sanctioned app, so I cannot speak to what it says.

Hi mom it’s been almost a week i had my interview at SF field office but I haven’t seen any updates on my uscis online account. My status still shows fingerprint has been taken. Besides waiting does anyone has any advice that i should do to get my decision.
Has there been any update on your case?

Throughout the process, I talked to USCIS customer service a lot but they do not have access to much information than you would get on the online portal. Talked to a Tier 2 officer twice. But major milestones in the process were the ones below.

First SR (Expedite) – Placed on January 30, 2023 – Denied on February 2, 2023

Congressional Inquiry – Called on March 7, 2023 – Inquiry sent on March 8, 2023 – answer received on March 15, 2023, saying that case will be adjudicated in 30 days. 30 days passed with no updates. I called the Congressman’s office again and they told me to wait another 30 days. Another 30 days also passed with no updates.

Second SR (Filing question) – Placed on April 4, 2023 – “We are still reviewing your case” on April 7, 2023

Congressional Inquiry from another state (I went to high school there) – Inquiry submitted on April 27, 2023 – answer received “Wait for 60 days for adjudication” on May 11, 2023.

Third SR (Expedite request) – Placed through L2 agent on April 27, 2023, on humanitarian reasons – “Expedite Granted” on May 5, 2023.

May 16 – new card is being produced.

Very painful process but finally worked it out.

Please, feel free to direct message or ask any questions here. My responses cannot get any close to Mom's answers' preciseness but I can contribute from my experience.

Hello mom,

I gave the biometric (along with my wife) on Aug 11, but have not gotten IL yet. When I chatted with a live agent via Emma, she said my case is still at NBC and an interview has not been scheduled. Now I am planning to initiate a congressional inquiry. Attached is the form I need to fill out but I got some confusion. Can you please give some suggestions?
1. What do I write in the beneficiary part? Is it my wife's name or my own name and details?
2. Place of filing: Is it my FO?

1. You and your wife are both applicants. There’s no beneficiary since there’s no underlying petition.
2. You can put down your FO.

Hello guys, I hope someone who is still worried reads this (please read my earlier posts as well). After ~8 months I just received my green card today (I have updated my timeline). Here are some highlights:
- My CN is ~AF18xxx and my visa number became available in January, and gave my biometrics in March.
Ever since then, there have been no updates. I did everything I could (wrote my senator, emailed KCC, service centers, info pass, and wrote letters directly to USCIS) but nothing. According to the timeline, people with similar F1 visas and CN >AF50xxx already got their GC before me so I was worried. Even @Sm1smom was worried as my case was peculiar. But to my surprise, USCIS all of a sudden approved my case and I got my GC. I can't thank this community enough for their guidance, Simon, Sm1smom, and of course Lord Jesus.

- If anyone is worried the deadline is approaching, do your best to complete everything you can, and follow the advice given here, which is what I did. It is not over till it is over. You got this guys :)

Hi mom, its SS, ill change it to SthS
Yeah, making the change will be nice as in when forum username name matches what is listed on the Timeline spreadsheet, it makes it easier to review cases and answer accordingly when questions get asked in the forum.

Hi Mom,
To prepare for the interview, should we bring another certified English translation along with the original documents in addition to the translations we have sent before with our package?
If yes, it is okay to bring a scan of the translations>? or it should be the actual and original translation again?
Thank you
