DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Isn’t that what I recommended you do in my previous response? “you can reach out to a customer service rep (via phone or Emma) to see if they’re able to tell you your interview date.”
Sorry for the confusion. My question was whether providing interview date over the phone needs a convincing reason, so I'd prepare a reason before my call. I will call them anyway and explain my situation. Appreciate your time as always!

People talking about visas running out soon are making me worry! My package just got delivered 2 days ago and it might take a month to recieve the bio notice. Should I also start a congressional inquiry too asap?
I doubt your congressman’s office will initiate any sort of follow up on your case at this point considering your AOS package just got delivered and it’s not even in the system yet. There’s nothing for them to follow up on with your FO - your case is yet to make its way through the system.

Just use your discretion at having a meaningful conversation when you connect with them.

so what are the odds I don't get my green card? and is there anything I can do or should I just keep my fingers crossed and wait?

The odds are you either get the GC or you don’t. There’s nothing you can do at this point that I know of.

Dear mom, I am about to send my package,
I am sorry about asking this again.
earlier I asked you about expedite. and you told me It does not make sense to do so.
However, later on I read here that we can actually do that.
so, what do you suggest? if we can expedite, can I include that with my package?
Or it is better to send this package first and then if I decide, just request that?

Well if you’ve read somewhere that you can actually expedite your case when you mail in your package which is contrary to what I told you, my suggestion is you follow your instincts at this point and do what you think is best for your case. If you know how to expedite a yet to be mailed package, then go ahead and do so. It is really your call.

it has been over 60 days since I submitted my RFE documents and I only get my first case update yesterday saying fingerprints were taken (which I done my Bio in October last year not sure why it update now)
If anyone have recs for the lawyers in New York (Manhattan) please give me some references. I spoke to three lawyers and all not familiar with DV or even ask me to wait for more than a year on my case...
I just noticed you got your GC on 6/13. Congratulations. Thank you for adding that information to the Timeline spreadsheet, some other selectee will hopefully benefit from it. It however would have been nice if you bothered to return to update the forum on how your case eventually got resolved you know, considering the amount of help you received both from this open forum and via PM.

You’ve already been scheduled for an interview, you just need to receive the IL and attend your interview as scheduled. In the interim, you can reach out to a customer service rep (via phone or Emma) to see if they’re able to tell you your interview date.
Hi Sm1smom, I just talked to a customer service rep and they told me my interview is scheduled for August 1st. I guess there is nothing else I can do except hoping that number of available visas don't run out until then.

My FO is San Jose and there is one other person on the spreadsheet from the same FO, who is scheduled for 7/24. As you explained before about this FO regarding last year data, seems like they are still scheduling the interviews for around Aug, even though we are close to global quota.

I have updated the missing parts to the best of my knowledge
Thank you for completing the spreadsheet.
This has been a helpful thread, along with the spreadsheet. I am on an F-1 visa and also a DV2023 winner and my visa bulletin became available in January (AF19xxx). I filed ds-260 back in May 2022 and have a confirmation from KCC, and AOS on January 31, 2023, and did my biometrics in March 2023. My case is currently stuck at "case updated to show the biometrics stage" for over 5 months now. I also haven't received my 2NL (I saw on the spreadsheet that people with similar f-1 status and very high CN (AF50xxx) got theirs back in November 2022 (which is concerning to me). I contacted USCIS and they said to call them back on September 30 (which doesn't make sense as that is the deadline). I also wrote my senators (and still waiting for a response), I emailed KCC about 2NL and got a generic email response saying my case is handled by USCIS.

Another thing is KCC says they halted receiving documents before the interview (but they also said my case is under USCIS). I am lost on what to do. I only have a short time left before September 30, 2023.
Right now, the 2NL is irrelevant, so stop following up on that. What you need to be following up on is actually your IL, because compared to two other cases from your FO (first one filed before you, the second one filed after you), your case seems quite beyond the applicable processing time for your FO. It is possible your background check clearance is still pending. In the interim, help me better understand your follow up efforts by answering the below questions:

1. Precisely what did you ask USCIS when you reached out to them regarding your case?
2. Also what did you request assistance with from your congressperson and precisely when did you contact them?

Thank you ,
I think I will mail my package at this time and see what happens later,
One more question,
In form I 134 , it asks for my income as beneficiary,
I am now a student here and dont have a job in US, ibdont even have a SSN for now, but i do have a mere amount of income from my own country, so i thought it is better to write a number rather than putting just a zero as for my income.
I dont know if I write that, does it make any confusion for the officer ?
Because i didnt write anything about that in my employment history.
What is your suggestion?

My suggestion is to truthfully fill out the form. If you have no ongoing income, put zero there (a stipend is not an income). Don’t try to pad things up. You have no listed job to attach the mentioned income to.

Hi Mom. Could you please elaborate more on the number of Visas running out? Like
1. where it is coming from and
2. how we can learn the process to count the number of VISAs available?
3. Is there any timeline to get interviewed based on your experience?

Thanks

Hi Mom, my application was accepted and I also received the receipt number in my mail. After a week, I also received a biometric appointment letter. But in the meantime, I chatted with a live agent through Emma and requested them to send me the email of an appointment if possible but today I got an email that my older biometric appointment was canceled and they will send me the new biometric in my mailbox which I can also access from my USCIS account. I am asking if I can walk in for a biometric with my older appointment letter that I have just in case USCIS would take longer to send me the new appointment letter.

1&2:
3. That is what the Timeline spreadsheet is for. Compare your processing time to other folks from you FO who are also listed on the spreadsheet.
