DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

1. Write your employer's name as stated in your W2. 2. You can write the title of your job.
My W2 has the address of "Internal auditing office" whereas my F1 has the address of "Office of International Programs". Should I still use the address written in my W2? Thank you!

By "my F1" are you referring to the visa printed in your passport or the form I20? Either way, technically speaking, that is the address of your school, not employer. Usually, one is the address to reach out for academic purposes, one is the address to reach for payroll/HR related matters.

Can I submit 1040 form of year 2022 as per this financial evidence assistant?View attachment 4201
Okay, so I already told you to submit whatever you have, if you do not have the IRS transcript itself, keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. In addition, someone already confirmed to you they were able to use the 1040 in place of the IRS tax transcript, right? So not sure what else you want me to confirm. Plus your snippet also says the 1040 may be submitted in place of the IRS tax transcript (although they do prefer the tax transcript itself because it is easier to read. Submit whatever you have with your package. If the IO feels your financial documents are not enough to demonstrate self sufficiency, they will give you an opportunity to present an I-134 to address the shortcoming.

Quick question! Do you know if USCIS waits for the background check to be complete before adjudicating the case, or if they deny a case without waiting for the background check? I completed my interview two weeks ago, and there has been no update since then.

An approval decision cannot be made while the background check clearance is still pending. A denial decision on the other hand could be made while the background check clearance is still pending IF there are other pertinent reasons that qualifies the case for a denial.

Hi Mom, Hi, everyone

Today my family and I had an interview. NY Queens FO scheduled at 09:00 am.
DHS Police Officer let us in around 08:30 am. Security check (airport style), and we headed to the 4th floor.

After check-in, we waited around 10 mins max before FO came and called us. The whole interview took for our three applications around 20 mins, with all bio details and yes/no questions. Very simple and smooth. In the end, FO said that at the moment, all look okay, and she just has to review everything, but the decision will still be made today.

She checked the originals of the following:
1. Birth Certificates
2. Marriage Certificate
3. Latest (for 2022) IRS Transcript
4. College Certificates.
5. Passports.

Street-Door-Street took us 1hr.

At 3:00 pm, the status for all of us changed to “New Card Being Produced - we ordered your new card”

I would like to say a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to @Sm1smom for the support and patience!!!
Also, all forum members as everyone contributed their experience and knowledge.

Thank you !!!

Fingers Crossed for the rest who are still waiting for interviews/positive results!

Ps.
There were two things that I stressed a little bit about:
1. During DV Entry, we reused an old photo for my wife - there was no issue at all.

2. 20 years ago, I was twice (2002,2003) on a J-1 visa ( without the 2y rule), but I didn’t have DS-2019 or IAP-66 anymore - they didn’t even ask about it.

DV 2023 AOS Timeline Spreadsheet - updated.

I will stick around till the end of FY. If anyone has any questions - feel free.

Yes, it is possible some FOs do approve DV cases without any interview. Maybe they forgot to update your daughter's case, I don't think there's any reason to worry about not seeing the update for now. Her GC could show up with the rest of the family without the online status being updated.

Please add your case data to the Timeline spreadsheet.

Still no good news on the horizon. To my request to speak to a tier 2 officer, i received a rescheduling automated email (although I had asked the info specialist repeatedly not to mark the request as a rescheduling request): "We have received your request for your interview to be rescheduled. Your application will be placed back in queue for interview scheduling at a USCIS field office. Once an appointment is available, your interview will be rescheduled. An appointment notice will be mailed to your current address of record on file with USCIS. If you have not received a new interview notice within 60-days of this response, please feel free to submit a new request to the USCIS contact center.".

My congressman's aide finally got a reply from USCIS about her request to get me scheduled ASAP for the new interview. They told her this morning that I was "placed in the regular queue" for scheduling. She's trying to escalate it to a supervisor and emailing directly the NY FO to get placed in a "priority"/faster queue. She's been trying to manage my expectations and told me that multiple DV cases she's handled in the past never made it through the finish line and that she didn't really know how this would end.

@Sm1smom I am stressing out too much and thinking to engage the lawyer that made magic happen to get interviews for 3 people last year in the NY FO in september. He seemed pretty confident that he could help out and get me through the finish line and I think this is probably my best chance at this point. Was hoping to get your thoughts on the situation/etc.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mom,

It's been a month since the USCIS sent me the response that my fingerprint payments were accepted and that they could notify me if fingerprints are required or not, but so far I haven't received any further feedback. what do i do in this case?

Looking at the timeline, everyone your CN made current in the month of May has already been fingerprinted.
