Usually before.Hi Sm1smom,
Does USCIS local field office get our AOS application before Boimetric or after Biometric has been completed ?
The spreadsheet shows you and another member under the Newark FO both filed on 2/23 and 2/24 respectively. This other member already had their interview on 04/20, case approved approved 05/03, while you are still waiting for your IL. Makes me wonder if your IL got lost in the mail or sent back to USCIS as undeliverable, or your background check clearance is pending and your FO is waiting for it to clear before scheduling your interview. This means you need to start actively following up on your case - have you tried calling the USCIS customer service line or chatting with Emma to find out if they're able to provide you with any update or if they see anything about your interview being scheduled? If you've already tried that (recently), then you next step should be that of initiating a congressional case inquiry assistance.HI Mom:
I did my fingerprint in Newark on April 3, 2023. I haven't received an interview letter yet and my case is still showing fingerprint taken and applied to your case. Do you advise
just waiting or is there a way to ask the office?
Thanks and for correction my fingerprint was done at Elizabeth not Newark. The spreadsheet shows you and another member under the Newark FO both filed on 2/23 and 2/24 respectively. That does not really provide any information. As mom already told you, your next step should be that of initiating a congressional case inquiry assistance.Does this mean interview is waived? Because I see in the spread sheet other person with same date of fingerprint have their green card printed already.
They're basically saying there has been no new update from your FO. There is nothing going on with the LA office that I know of outside of the fact that they also tend to bunch up DV based applications and adjudicate them towards the end of the FY. Yes, they sometimes may take a while to respond to congressional inquiries.Hi, mom. I received an email response regarding congressional inquiry yesterday. This is what USCIS responded. I believe it is just a standard statement.
According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records, OLIA Los Angeles Office has jurisdiction over this case, Therefore, we have forwarded your inquiry to the OLIA Los Angeles Office for review and direct response to you.
For further assistance, please contact the OLIA Los Angeles Office directly. Thank you, Office of Legislative Affairs.
Case worker is still waiting to hear from LA FO and don’t have a time frame of when he will hear from them.
My question for you, dear mom. Is it common for Field Offices not respond for such inquiries? Or something is going on with LA office and they might sit on my case until the FY ends and not call me for an interview at all?
No, it does not mean that. You should be comparing your case tracking with those in the same FO as you (like I did above), and not with those who completed the bio or did something else same date as you did. That comparison is useless if you're not both under the same FO.Thanks and for correction my fingerprint was done at Elizabeth not Newark.
2. I called the USCIS customer service and was told that the fingerprint review was completed and they are working on my case at NBC.
3. That they will let me know if they need anything further.
Does this mean interview is waived? Because I see in the spread sheet other person with same date of fingerprint have their green card printed already.
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to knowing what the RFE is for.Hello @Sm1smom , I checked our status today and it says On May 11, 2023, we sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. I am thinking they are asking for the DV payment receipt since we had front loaded most of the documents. I will keep the forum posted on what the RFE says. I am at the KC MO field office.
Have you tried following up the USCIS customer service or chatting with Emma to find out if they're able to see any information about your case being scheduled for an interview?Hi Mom,
I have done my fingerprint om March 7th, and since then no case update nor I received the interview letter.
My field office in Seattle WA,
Should I e worried ?
Many thanks
Amalr
List of financial documents can be found on the AOS Process Spreadsheet - you have the option of front loading your package with as much applicable evidence as you have, or put nothing or the barest minimum and wait to see if you’ll get a RFE or not.Hi Mom,
So my husband is an F1 student and works under 20 hours per week on campus. In the application package, is there anything that needs to be included for this? Example proof of employment or pay stubs? Bank deposits? Or do we wait to see if we get an RFE asking for information related to the on campus job (if any)??? TIA
Yes, I hired a lawyer for my case , I didn’t ask him bc he said he sent it to USCIS , but always i have fears so that’s why I want to make sure everything goes well.It means be patient. You used a lawyer to file for AOS right? What does your lawyer say/think of your current situation?
