DV 2023 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

The good news is that one set of my pips finally landed without a glitch, save for some terrible turbulence on the way :) We are all happy.

Now, I want to withdraw my brother from the sibbling petition...and I have not found how to do this. When I login, I don't see any option to withdraw from the petition. All I see is the i-130 information and other information that is not very useful for petition withdrawal. Anyone know how to do this? Or, do I just leave it there as is? Thanx...and I hope my question is not in the wrong thread.

Last change in my embassy was 02/17. They processed the case between 29000 and 30000 so there is no backlog. KCC has confirmed on 02/13 that my DV260 is processed. Embassy is in EU (Belgrade) my case no 2023EU18xxx. I haven't received 2NL yet, what can I expect?
thx

When did you submit your DS260?

And this might be the reason.

You submitted pretty late.

Most people submit around May-June
But KCC confirmed they processed my DS260 at mid of Feb. Maybe I don't understand process?! My No is current and they processed my ds260. What is the next step of process?

While KCC may already be processed as stated by KCC, they also most likely processed a bunch of other selectees who submitted their DS260 forms ahead of you and who have also become current. Those selectees will be scheduled for their interview ahead of you, notwithstanding your DS260 been processed. So you just need to remain patient for them to get to your turn/case.

Couple of questions regarding adding spouse after getting invite.

I already sent an e-mail to Montreal Consulate to inform them of my marital status change but so far no response from them except for automatic responses.

My questions are:

1. Currently ESC page shows "Beneficiaries: None". After they unlock my DS260 and I add my spouse, will ESC page change to reflect the change?
2. Since my DS260 is not unlocked yet, can I already go to perform medical exam with my spouse? AFAIK panel physician will expect to see some paper confirming that my spouse is added to my case correct?
3. If the above is true, assuming that I already added my spouse to my DS260, what printed proof can I bring to medical exam? Will adding my spouse to DS260 generate any "proof"? Like confirmation page showing her name?

Unfortunately contacting Montreal consulate is pretty frustrating, no response to e-mail yet and when I call the number I only hear automatic message to contact them by e-mail instead.

Hey guys,
How long is SSN supposed to be sent? I have been admitted almost 3 weeks now, and yet to get my SSN neither GC, should I be worried?

If you've waited 3 weeks and the SSN is yet to show up, it's production has probably fallen through the cracks. I recommend you visit your nearest SSA office with an application form (plus the applicable supporting documents) and submit the application in person. I suggest not telling them you had requested for the SSN on your DS260 form, they may tell you to go wait a couple more weeks for it to show up, and it most likely will not.

The problem is that atm I'm out of the US, and will be back permanently after 20 days. Is it possible to check the status through the teleservice?

I don’t see any problem - if it still hasn’t shown up by the time you return to the US, you basically do as suggested above.

Thanks, Mom, I agree! And the good news, that today the card status changed to being produced
Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, by card status changing to being produced, I believe you mean the GC card, not the SSN card you were previously asking about, right?

Hi, I entered the US and two days after my entry my USCIS status shows "Submitted on Mar X 2023" (two days after my entry into the US). I paid my fee three weeks before my entry, why is my submission suddenly this and what does it mean?

Probably the date CBP submitted your entry information to USCIS. With the payment already made prior to entry, that is the date that will trigger your GC production.

Yes, exactly I meant the GC. And also, today I contacted the USCIS via the live chat support and they informed that my SSN hasn't been issued yet, because they need to complete the GC first and afterwards they'll send confirmation to the SSA to start working on issuing the social security card

That’s a load of BS the agent you interacted with dumped on you, I suggest you take it with a pinch of salt. The GC does not need to get produced and issued before the SSN gets issued - this is evidenced by majority of new LPRs receiving their SSN long before their GC show up in the mail. Plus, USCIS has no way of knowing if the SSN has been issued or not, a separate organization is responsible for issuing the SSN.

Hi All, I have a question regarding 2NL issuance and interview scheduling. At what point are 2NL's typically issued in relation to the visa bulletins? Example: Latest bulletin for April showed an increase in the current cases for Oceania in May. When will the 2NL's for those case numbers becoming current in May get issued? Soon after the bulletin was released in March? Sometime this month in April? Obviously with any interviews being scheduled in May or later when the cases are current. Or do the 2NL's not get issued until the month of May when the cases become current?
