Within 120 days of interview.

My wife got oath letter in 15 days after the interview. She was also marked "Decision Cannot be made at this point" in her interview result. When my wife asked, The interview officer said another supervisor of her has to go thru the application and approve it. I think if officer is junior level they cannot approve you. But dont worry !

Where are you guys? What is your local DO? I advise waiting for 3-4 weeks as that is the typical time it takes to through the supervisory review process. Seems like your wife's IO was a junior officer and this is the process they must take.

If you haven't heard anything by the end of this week, then call the local DO and speak to someone regarding your wife's file. You can get the officer's last name from the form your wife got after her interview. If asked about InfoPass, say scheduling an InfoPass won't work because you'll loose income from taking the day off, etc. Or that you don't have any days off available right now.

I have noticed that once an applicant has been through the interview process, USCIS is more tolerant with phone calls and questions. Good luck and let us know.

Students who have been on OPT typically have two A files. Others too can have it, if they had multiple EADs. I have not yet seen a non OPT/CP person have a duplicate A file.
What does dual A files mean? Do you know why people have two A files?

One of my friend and his wife are in similar situation. Both had their interview in Philly on March 6th. Wife got approval and husband got the letter saying decision can not be made. Both are still waiting for their oath letter. They had a infopass appointment today but got the same reply that their case is still pending and to contact them after 90 days. You can never understand these people.

Hi goPhilly,

What were the PD for your friends from Philly? When I had called IO sometime back, he said that my file was ready(background check completed on Feb 6th 2008, my PD is Nov 20, 2007).

I was thinking may be knowing your friends PD may provide some kind of pointer to us?

Thanks,
Akapoor

I took my test in December of 2007, passed, and am still waiting for the oath letter, so the 120 day wait is not at all set in stone.

You are wasting your time just go ahead and file WOM (Writ of Mandamus) after 120 days in civil court to get it adjudicated within a month or so.
