Dec 2002 Concurrent Filers

Fingerprints in a few hours – I’ll let you all know the procedure.

The form gives the location, date and time and what ID to bring. I’ll take it and hope thats enough. I also hope that they don take too long – we are taking our 6 month old baby. If things are taking a long time I’m hoping that they will see our baby and let us through quickly or that maybe she’ll start crying and they will process us quickly in order to get rid of us from the office :D

EAD approval & got receipts for finger printing

Hi everybody,

Just saw online that my EAD is approved yesterday and few days back got my finger print notice too. It's sceduled for march 11th.

I-140 ND 6/8/02
AD 1/3/03

I-485/EAD/AP ND 12/31/02
EAD AD 02/19/03
FP ND 02/12/03
FP Interview date 03/11/03
AP ?????????
485 ?????????

I-140/485

One of my collegue who file his I-140/485 concurrently during Oct 1st week has got his EAD/I-131 AND Fingerprinting approved in the first week of Decmber and Got his I-140 approved in the first week of Jan...
Guys Is this something Strange or INS Started working backwords..
any such cases....

Ok – Fingerprints – Appointment for my wife was at 2pm. We get there at 1.30 – and its busy. Check in and ask if they can do my fingerprinting at the same time – as my appointment was the following day.
The guy at the front goes in to see the fingerprint people and comes back with the answer of no – they already are running behind.
and fill out a form for the fingerprinting – name, address, DOB, A-number – all basic stuff. Turn over the form with ID (Passport) and appointment letter and wait. (Take a pen – they don’t have many!)

My wife finally gets called in at 3.40 – a total of 2 hours waiting with a 6 month baby!! Fingerprints get done and she’s given a comments form – she said that each comment form had a unique number – and could potentially be traced back – so she gave some very bland comments.

She was chatting to the people doing the fingerprints – and was saying that I was waiting outside with the baby and that I had to return on the following day. The women doing the fingerprints said Thats silly – why didn’t you arrange to do them on the same day? She then commented that they couldn’t do them now.

It drive me mad!!!!!

Anyway – I’m off for another 2 hour wait at the INS again today.

485-EAD-AP: MD dec10, RD dec11, ND Jan16th AP:??
FP: ND Feb13, FP schedule march 27th

I have a question, I will be attending a meeting in march and out of town, so can I get FP done before scheduled date?

Guys I am in Pittsburgh...my fp date was 02/21 but i got it finished the day i received the notice from INS....Usually you can just walk-in to INS office to get the FP done in Pitts...

question for you. for me too its INS pitt, is it that you can walk in anytime there? the notice says any wednesday? is that so? and did you call them before or make appointment?
for me FP schedule is march27t but I will be out of town.

shobana...if you have ur fp notice with you , you can go now or even you can go on saturday's...just walk in...its only 7min job....but you shld have ur original ins notice with you....

Hi Srifin,

I applied for my I-140 in June, 2002 & opted for CP. But waited till Dec. & then filed for my I-485/EAD & AP.

I hope everybody who's waiting for so long for their I-140, gets soon.
 
No...my dear I do not have any contacts. I waited for 7 months after applying for I-140 with CP option hoping each day that it'll be approved soon. I only know how frustrating those days were.

In some way I feel lucky as compared to many others who r still waiting for their I-140 approvals for almost 10-11 mths. As soon as I did concurrent filing , my I-140 was approved as if they were waiting for me to change from CP option to I-485. This is just my feeling that INS is not encouraging people with CP option . That's why I hardly see anyone approved with CP option.

I wish I had some contacts;)

As I posted yesterday ,my friend who filed his I-140 just 1 month before me ie Oct has got it approved in Jan...and there are many who filed before are still waiting ...and one funny thing is another friend of mine filed his I-140 on the same day as the above guy did...but one got approval and other has no news...:confused:

The immigration.com site says that the date for EAD is now 1/29/03. Still waiting for my EAD. My date is 1/27.:mad:

Does anyone know if Dallas center takes FP before the FP notice date?

I have one more question. since I am planing to get FP done before scheduled date so do I have to call them at pitt and make appointment? or its just walkin to the INS pitt. I am planing to get done on coming sat or soon, since I am at morgantown, west virginia. is it that I can walk in before 3.30pm or so on sat the office hrs are till 4pm and also what else documents are required apart from the oroginal receipt, passport?
