Finally received the receipts for EAD/140/485 :D

MD 12/23/02
RD 12/26/02
ND 1/27/03

My lawyer recd the receipts on Feb. 3rd

Waiting for EAD!!!
 
Folks,

Some progress in our case, EAD and AP has been approved for my wife and myself.

I-140 (EB-1 OR) - RD: May 29 2002. No progess yet. But I have some hope because EAD was approved.

I-485, I-765, I-131 - Priority date: Dec 9 2002, ND: Jan 13 2003

FP scheduled for Feb 27

I-765 approved Feb 6
I-131 approved Feb 7

Waiting for both cards in the mail.

you seem to be in good shape.
I am worried, I have not yet received FP notice, my 485 ND is jan16th and RD dec11th also no news about EAD, AP and above all EB1-OR?????? which is pending since may17th. I donot understand whats going on there?
is anyone else also in similar boat, not having received FP notice, whose ND is in jan?

I am sure both of you will recieve FP notices and EAD/AP soon. Its all a matter of time with VSC. I dont know what priority date is. Its something that is printed on the reciept notice, and it appears to be a date in between RD and ND. Also, I have a question: The 485 reciept contains an "A" (alien) number. What is the significance of this A number?
 
A# is the alien number

This number is very important like the SS#. You can see this number in the EAD and i heard from my friends it will be on the Green card too. I used this number (in the Alien# column) while filling the Passport extension papers...
One of my other friend told that this number is required when applying for unemployment Insurance from the govt... (that is again for GC holders).

thanks gc-despo for the repply and positive encouragement. I have yet to receive the FP notice and now am worried, donot know whats going on there? people with ND after mine have received FP notice. hope atleast this week brings some positive news and also EAD, AP approval.

Ok – not got the exact dates – hope you can live with that (you’ll be more info out of me than the INS so be happy about it :D )

140 posted mid Dec, recieved a day later and a notice date of 24th Jan.

FP – 2/20 for my wife and 2/21 for me (I’ll go in with the wife and see if I can get mine done at the same time!)


No approval for the 140 but my collegue sent his in at the end of November and was approved by the end of Jan!!

I guess you just have to keep you fingers crossed that you end up in the right pile on the right day!

Actually I have not recieved the physical EAD card, the online message says that my EAD was approved on 2/06, and the card will be mailed when ready. No word about I-140........
