RIR PD processing is currently in mid-January of 2003

Any idea how much time it takes to mail the approval letters after the case has been certified? We have seen anywhere from 2 days to 2 months. Kindly shed some light in this seemingly never ending "labor-ious" process.

It's due to an internal bottleneck....30+ analysts (RIR and TR) work product is reviewed and approved by 3 CO's whose work product is certified, organized, mailed by 1(one) DOL employee....you do the math :(

Unfortunately, the decision to slow things down and focus on abbreviated data entry is a direct result of the thousands of status inquiries and DOL's discomfort with having to tell half of them that "yes, your case was shipped from the state/regional office, but it's now sitting in a box in a 4000 sq.ft. storage room with about 40,000 other cases that we'll be doing data entry alone on for another 8 months at the minimum, and the earliest we'll be able to confirm that the BEC has your case is when you finally do get your 45-day letter".

Just a general answer....existence check "Overridden" means that the check initially failed during data entry, but was manually overridden when an analyst reviewed the file and either found proof or requested proof and received it from the attorney.

Also, overheard a conversation where a beneficiary/alien wrote in and requested his file information under the Freedom of Information Act. :confused: While creative, this approach has a couple of flaws. First, it's unclear whether a foreign national even has status to make such a request....even if they do, the application is considered by the Feds (surprise) to be the property of the Employer, not the beneficiary. That is why telephone calls, e-mails, faxes, letters, personal visits all get the same response...."go ask your employer or the agent/attorney to inquire".

One crazy question, please:
Does this 4000 sqft storage room have only one entrance or one front door and one back door ? Reason for asking this is 14,000 Enterject cases are finally being moved to DBEC from TWC today. So, will they be picked up first or last, for data entry?

All produce is rotated regularly by expiration date :rolleyes: Actually, there is more that one room and they only have one door apiece. Records Management does track boxes, so, am unsure if storage is FIFO,LIFO, or whichever box looks the lightest.

In which queue this labor will be in after "Status : Certified", CO Queue :confused: Mailing Queue :confused:

If it says Certified, that means the case has been approved by the Certifying Officer and that it's awaiting application of the certification stamp and return to the the employer or their agent/attorney (or it's already en route)
 
to anyone who can respond this, would much appreciated.

the enterject case that finally made its way to BEC, anyone anticipate the 45 days letter or no -- for those whose file once been questioned by Enterject asking if or no wants to continue the case???

Icarus.... very good to see you back.
Quick question. Iam in my 6th year and will be applying my 7th year extension pretty soon. My perm labor application is pending since Dec 2002.

I have sent 3 emails to get the proof. Not a single reply yet. 2 emails from companyID and one email from personal emailID. Not a single reply yet. How do we get this proof back. Is there any catch or am I doing anything wrong here.

My screen shot says 'Processing type: RIR'

Tho' my case was filed NON-RIR(TR).

Is this an error?

Will this request have any adverse effect on the actual process ????, i have seen many people sending the request even if not required.

As the data entry HAS to be done for the 14000 Enterject cases, and as the sytem itself generates the 45 day letter, so I am guessing, looking at the past performance of DOL, they will go through the 45 day letter thing for Enterject cases also. We can't expect anything better.....

Icarus, Thank you for your valuable information.
Any idea why many RIR cases with later priority dates and received/answered 45 day letters are getting approval letters while the earlier ones sit in the BEC ?
From the tracker we see that many July cases are still not processed but some December even January cases already approved.
Does it mean that there are problems with those cases or they just stuck somewhere in the mailing room ?
