Hey Icarus
I don't want to know your source or who you are but looks like you are one of us. ;)
Well thats aside.
This person BAVANI is saying his freind is got Labor approved with PD 2003
( March I think.) Can it be true?
Or some misunderstanding.
Can you tell us whats current PD in RIR que or just an estimate how long with PD of Oct 2003.
Pls answer.

Actually Kanjoos
If the news is true then I think that following might be happening in BEC:
Many of us with later PD's like 03,02... have got 45 day letters much earlier like DEC,JAN..
So these cases are already in database. If these are RIR cases it doesn't take much to analyze them as we all know its a easier process than Non-RIR, so these cases must have been analyzed as soon as got the continuation notice from us and waiting for officers signature to post it out.
Well this is just a theory, I can be wrong also.
HEY Icarus or gurus what you all think?

where is the FIFO now exactly?

Icarus said:
Your case was placed in the RIR queue on 3/3/04. whenever the FIFO genie progresses from where it is now(April 2001) and comes up to November, the RIR analyst that gets your case will review the information and will decide which party has it (PW) correct based on the application and case info.

Icarus,

You mean the FIFO is still at April 2001?

Thanks

Just a quick observation--

Just a quick observation--

The first 2 digits in the case number in the database represents the regional code (i.e. 01, 02….09 etc.).

The states under region 05 are:

CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NY, OH, TX, VA, VI, WI

So, the case number starts with 04 or 05 in the 45-days letter is for region 4 for 5 respectively. The following 6 digits on the case number is sequential. The system automatically generates a number by adding 1 from the previous number while entering any info on a new case.

It has nothing to do with the Julian date code.

Thanks.

Its incorrect observation...

You are incorrect, 04 , 05 signifies the case entery Year, as in 2004 , 2005. And next 3 is the Julian Date...and next 5 is sequential numbers generated.

What database are you talking about?

The OLD case no. in the OLD DOL Regional offices was assigned just like you describe above.

The new ETA # (as in everybody is getting a new case no.) is YYDDD-SSSSS
where
- YY is 04 for 2004 and 05 for 2005.
- DDD is the calendar day. ie. 002 is January 2.
- SSSSS is a sequential number

May be possible....

Its possible..., but that will not be trend. So it may be one-off case or shall we say the lucky one....but that holds no significance to us. But yes, I agree with your theory...

Hey bythe way ICARUS where r u maan? Give some news.

FIFO April 2001?

MY Pd is Dec 2000 (EB3-NONRIR). I got 45 days letter in Dec 2004 and replied on second day. Haven't heard anything after. If BEC is processing cases on FIFO and from the forums I read it reached upto April 2001. Then what could have happend to my case. I checked with attorney yesterday and she said she hasn't received any approvals from BEC. Any thoughts?

That was old way NONRIR

These case numbers are no longer valid, its gone.......

Now the case numbers are in this format - R-YYJJJ-SSSSS.

Where R can be D or P (depending on Dallas or Philly)
YY - year in which case entered in BEC
JJJ - Julian Date when it was entered
SSSSS- Sequential number

Thanks
