You are saying its on country of birth and the person before you says on passport, Which one is true?
And isn't it that if you are citizen of that country , you have to have that passport to come here. So which one of you is true?
Please let me know.

updateLC said:We have started the 7th year extension process, I have convinced the lawyer to send for a screen shot, he had planned to send the 45 days notice letter as a proof for LC pending.
After two weeks today we received the screen shot, it shows the case status as certified, for the forum benifit I am including some of the case information
Priority Date (PD): 2/18/2003
Regional Date (RD): 8/12/2003
45 days letter date : 1/24/2004
Case Number: D-04293-xxxxx
Type: RIR/TX
It did not show the exact date of certification, the lawyer expect it was last week.
Good luck to all

Hope this helps for others and thanks all for providing useful info. Can anybody tell about I140 and how to track its status and any forum here? Also can we file concurrent 140/485 or as the dates are not current we are no longer eligible for that? Thanks,

Reading the Dallas and Philly BEC forums daily, it sometimes become depressing with all the grim news/projections being posted. I just thought of going and browsing the I140/I485 forums ( maybe I wanted to wander in dreamland thinking my labor is approved and I need to see what's going on in I140/I485).
To my surprise there are many cases in those forums who applied for 140/485 and got both of them approved in 2-3 months (yes months not years). There were few exceptions who were taking longer time, but for most part they were talking time delays in terms of months (some were even talking in terms of weeks).
Over here, we are talking 3-4 years wait for lobor as if 1 year is a small blip in the our dictionary (it is actually really a small blip for DOL/BECs). Man - this sucks really big time. I wonder if all these delays/laziness in processing is intentional. My friend told me 5 years back, the labor certification used to come in 3-4 months and Sept 11 changed it all.
Reading all this would make you think that you somehow get out of labor mess, the next stages are really nothing as compared to what we've already endured.

Here is what my HR department sent me email a while ago:
The Department of Labor has received your Labor Cert and sent a 45 day letter to our immigration attorney. The 45 day letter is confirmation from the DOL that they have received your Labor Cert and will begin working on it. Our immigration attorney said that once she receives the 45 day letter, she usually receives the Labor Cert approval within 5-6 months from the date of the letter. The date on your 45 day letter was January 5, 2005. Your Labor Cert approval should be received by our attorneys any day now. Once I receive the approval, I will notify you
and another one saying:
I wanted to send you a quick email regarding the status of your green card. Your file is currently in the RIR phase waiting on DOL approval. As of today, the DOL office is processing files with a January 2003 received date. Your file has a received date of November 10, 2003. It is estimated that we should have an approval for you by August 2005.
Do you know where this take me to: Am I close to getting my labor cleared.
I dont beleive my HR guys (you know how they are)

smoky said:I have been reading about numerous approvals on this forum. Most of the reported ones are with the screenshot received from one of the processing centers. My lawyer received a screenshot around a month back for my H1B extension which showed the status as certified. So far my lawyer has not received the hardcopy. The screenshot does not show case submitted date as I have read about in the posts here.
Are there other with older cases waiting for the hardcopy approval notice? Following are the details of my case:
Case#: D-04320-XX
EB2/RIR/CA
PD: June 02
Thanks,
